Chiefs in must win against Colts to keep 1st place
Denver caught some lucky breaks, SD is murdering AZ and Oakland is going toe-toe with Houston at the moment.
The Chiefs must win against Indy to maintain 1st place and keep the rest of the division in chase mode. A loss at Indy doesn't hurt as 3-1 is very acceptable. But if we are to maintain sole possesion of 1st we are going to have to kick the **** out of the Colts. |
Wut
|
Um, not exactly...
|
How do you figure?
If we lose at Indi and go 3-1, even if Denver and SD win next week, going 3-2, we are still a half a game ahead of them and still in sole possession of 1st place in the west. |
Yeah, except that if even if they all win today, they all win next week, and we lose next week, we'll still have a 1/2 game lead in the division. Other than that though, we HAVE to win to keep 1st place.
|
Oh noes......if we lose in Indy, the season is over!!!!
|
Why keep silent and let people think you are dumb when you can remove all doubt by opening your mouth?
|
New Math? From what I have seen from Indy so far today, I like our chances.

WTF? Win division games and some out of division and it's irrelevant. Doesn't really matter what they do next week if they lose 3 or 4 of the 5 remaining division games. They'll be too far behind in the division and they aren't getting a wildcard over any of the 2nd-place teams from the other 3 divisions.

Pete starts more useless threads than anyone in CP history.

uhh no, we have more than a 1 game lead.

I just want to throw this out there, but if a bubonic stomach flu strikes the NFL in two weeks and everybody has to sit out the rest of the season, we've already clinched the division.
|
You should have ZERO thread starting privledges. It's a ****ing joke already.
Also, in case you couldn't add right. They are up 2 games and even by losing next week, they are still in first. |

Ok, ok, techincally I was wrong about the sole possesion piece. Yes, if we lose we are all of .5 games in the lead still.

Stop minimizing your being wrong. This could have been avoided with a "Oh shit, I did my math wrong. lolz" Just ****ing own it and move on. |
To beat the Colts the Chiefs will need to play well on defense and then put enough points up on the board to outscore the Colts.

Okay, the only interesting part to me in this post is the Faid going toe to toe with Houston, which according to some people on this board is better than Indy. Thinking there is better opportunity here than we once thought.
Caveat: I am not watching the games, do not watch sports center or NFLN, therefore have no idea how good or bad Houston really is, only what I read here. |
you subtract 1 from a number you will end up with a different number

FWIW they only hung around for a half, playing decent. Houston has buttfugged them in the 2nd. |

Pete-tard. Gotta love the math.

Mods, can we please do something about this? |

*Please see the "Jamaal Charles isn't really better than Thomas Jones if you look at it because between Jamaal Charles' 50 yard bursts he only gains two or three yards on other carries" thread. It's beautiful in it's ignorance, yet very deep in it's lack of cultivation. |

BTW,
Pete's not comfortable sitting on a half game lead. In week 4. People want to muzzle gems like that? |

Plus in the long run the Indy game could be huge when and if it comes down to tie-breakers. Especially when you look at SD's next 2 games... @ Oakland @ St. Louis.... both road games but very winnable for SD. |
