The rest of the loser teams in the NFL can look up at us and kiss our ass. When you walk around town in Chiefs gear this week, and you see someone else wearing Chiefs, or football gear, give them the finger. Because we're #1. Normally, it wouldn't mean shit. It's cliche garbage that every drooling fan in the land practices.

If only price chopper was still around to celebrate with us. Chiefs 'n hy-vee just doesn't work.

I cant believe we are the only undefeated team in the NFL...

We're not legit playoff material just yet. But, the young guns on this team definately have us moving in the right direction. A strike free 2012 and a couple more drafts like this last one will make this team scary as hell.

Same! I mean, this 3-0 start is no surprise. I expected it because of how easy the schedule was. To be the ONLY unbeaten team after four weeks of play is hard to believe.

ESPN laughing at us right now.

I was at a bar in Bemidji, MN with my wife this weekend. Some Irish pub. Wearing my Chiefs leather jacket. Random drunk guy walks up to me and says, "3-0 BABY!!!! UNDEFEATED AND STILL KICKING BOOOO-TAY!"

I had a huge grin on my face for the rest of the evening, and I think she knew why.

Yeah. I don't want to follow the Chiefs or care about their season until they win the Superbowl...... wait, wut?

I thought we would be 8-8 - 10-6 after losing 2/3 of our first games.

Should be a few fun years coming up.

The funny thing, we've experienced this more this past decade than any other team besides the Colts. If you'd asked the average fan to name the two teams that have been the last unbeaten more than once in the last decade, they'd never get it.

Last undefeated team:
2000 - Vikings 7-0
2001 - Rams 6-0
2002 - Raiders 4-0
2003 - Chiefs 9-0
2004 - Eagles 7-0
2005 - Colts 13-0
2006 - Colts 9-0
2007 - Patriots 16-0
2008 - Titans 10-0
2009 - Colts 14-0
2010 - Chiefs 3-0

Every one of those teams made the playoffs. 6 of the previous 10 made it to the Super Bowl. 7 of the 10 were the #1 seed in their conference playoffs.

Every one of them at least had a first round bye in the playoffs EXCEPT the 2006 Colts. Which is ironic because they're the only team on that list to win a Super Bowl.

Yeah, it all has a "Can you beleive this shit?" vibe.

Beating the Colts might fix that.

I will be in Donkville most of this week. I plan on having A LOT of fun with their fans. :)

ESPN was kind enough to note that the last time a team was the last undefeated standing at 3-0 they didn't make the playoffs.:shake:

Haha, yeah, it's looking like a crazy year. I was just trying to find the last unbeaten to not make the playoffs. Haven't figured it out yet. 97-99 it was Broncos/Broncos/Rams... all won the Super Bowl.

1996 was rough. Colts were the last unbeaten at 4-0. Finished 9-7 and did sneak into the playoffs, got blasted in the first round by the Steelers.

Combination of pro football reference, my memory, and google. :) I knew all the Colts ones, and the Titans and Patriots, obviously. I found an article somewhere that listed the other ones.

Here is the deal. For as many improvements as the Chiefs DO need to make? I think people give too much credit to the rest of the league. This is a league where every team has serious holes. Serious.

Take that game last night...one team was undefeated and the other one was picked to be one of the best teams in the league.

That was a cripple fight. I mean there was just completely reeruned things going on...fumbles...billions of sacks. All kinds of ineptitude.

One of our division rivals can't run the ball. And it isn't like they have a poor running game, they literally can't run the ****ing ball. ROFL

I don't think the bell curve in today's NFL is what a lot of posters thinks it is. The best case scenario is that you field a decent balanced team that can cover up its weaknesses. I don't see the Chiefs that far from that.

I feel pretty good about the game on Sunday. I hope that doesn't mean a huge letdown though. All I know is that the Colts aren't the Colts of years past. That gives us hope.
