AFC West
If you had to tag each team with a percentage chance of winning the division, what would they be? Or you can just say the Chiefs, since that's all I really care about.
KC - 70% SD - 15% OAK - 11% DEN - 4% Does this seem biased at all? KC has 2 of their toughest games behind them, SD has those same two exact games in front of them. Oakland has a couple tough games including @PIT. Denver just seems done. I really think SD is still the only team with a chance and they just keep proving they aren't gonna go on that huge run they need to in order to win the division. Here's to hoping Tennessee can go into SD this week and basically clinch it for KC! |
I think Oakland is a better team and has a better chance than your numbers show.
Chiefs 50% Raiders 30% Chargers 15% Tards 5% |
I'd go with
Chiefs: 62% Raiders: 27% Chargers: 8% Broncos: 3% All other teams: 0% |

The Chargers' remaining schedule is too tough. There will be no season-ending winning streak this year.

I wouldnt even say the Chiefs are the most talented team in the AFC West.
I will say they are the best coached at this point in time. Those are the teams that usually win. |

These late second half heroics in the season by San Diego will prove to be more of a pest than a "sure lock" for the AFC west crown. To put it simply, they will no longer be able to afford starting out slow anymore. Those days are over! You either come out of the gate hot, or you watch the playoffs instead of participating in them come January. Was it 2007 that the chargers went 8-8 and won the division? Yea, those days are over. |

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The San Diego Chargers got lucky. Even better, they've got Philip Rivers. After their onside kick bounced off Chiefs wideout Dwayne Bowe's chest and Kassim Osgood recovered for San Diego, Rivers needed just four plays Sunday to complete one of the most stirring comebacks of the season. With 1:19 left, Rivers hit Malcom Floyd with a 4-yard TD pass. Then his 10-yarder to Vincent Jackson with 36 seconds to go lifted the Chargers to a 22-21 victory over the stunned Chiefs, who led 21-3 in the third quarter. After their try for a two-point conversion failed, the Chargers (6-8) still needed help from the football gods. Aided by a delay-of-game penalty, the Chiefs (2-12) tried a 50-yard field goal on the final play. Connor Barth, who had been 9-for-9 before missing a 34-yarder in the first half, was wide left. http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/200812...cap-full-story |

Football Outsiders has us at 93.8% to make the playoffs, and 8.1% to win the Superbowl. Sounds about right.
