Give me some of that Merriman

I wish they could claim him. Next season he could be back to being a beast. He'd be a great DE in the 3-4.

MahiMike 11-03-2010 10:21 AM

Do the Chiefs have a good masking agent?

The Franchise 11-03-2010 10:23 AM

A DE in the 3-4? Do you understand football at all?

a good DE in the 3-4? ROFL dam no wonder he sucked the last couple years, the chargers were misusing him in their 3-4 defense.

I agree. I wish we could get Moss off waivers as well. He would kill playing TE opposite of Moeaki in the Spread offense.

JTagg7754 11-03-2010 10:33 AM

LOL you guys want Merriman AND Moss??? hahahhaa take them both PLEASE!!!!

suds79 11-03-2010 10:33 AM

looks a Marcel Dareus of Alabama
then look at Meriman

then ask yourself "which one would I like to anchor an edge."?

Dante84 11-03-2010 10:54 AM

me thinky he mean OLB.... me hope.

CoMoChief 11-03-2010 10:57 AM

I dont really see how signing the guy would HURT this team. We need all the help we can get. I'm in the Moss boat as well. We don't have any downfield threats, our WR's have trouble getting open. Moss would take the safeties out of the picture in our running game.

He'll be on IR with in two games
again

Frazod 11-03-2010 11:04 AM

Please explain how Moss would take the safeties out of the picture on running plays when he would just stand there motionless because he knows he isn't getting the ball.

beer bacon 11-03-2010 11:07 AM

I wouldn't mind taking a shot at Merriman for cheap, but the guy is probably done.

Because he has never just stood there motionless. Dumbass.

You obviously never watched the show where Merril Hodge and Ron Jaworski use to break down film. They showed numerous times where Moss never left the line of scrimmage. I guess you also didn't see his "stellar" effort in his last game. Moss is a lazy player that only plays hard when he wants to. I would rather see him take his attitude elsewhere.

RustShack 11-03-2010 11:39 AM

I've never seen him not at least jog down field.

At least Moss can perform at a high level when he feels like putting forth the effort. Roid-man hasn’t done shit since he had to quit juicing.

Shocker: hearing Bills strongly leaning toward claiming Merriman. Only way it doesn't happen is if they change their minds last minute.

If Bills put in the claim they get him bc of waiver order. Nothing official yet but 2 sources say they are doing it. See if they follow thru

standing there motionless? c'mon......some people blow that kinda crap way out of proportion. Does he take plays off? Sure he does, a lot of players do. But some people act as if he just doesn't give 2 shits if he's not involved in the play. I dont think that's necessarily true and to be honest, I'd be willing to take that chance if I were GM.

CoMoChief 11-03-2010 12:46 PM

We need Casey Printers back. seriously......he needs to be flown in from wherever he's at RIGHT NOW and have Rich Scanlon pilot the jet so it's here in less than 30min.

Printers would be available having been cut from the B.C. Lions are an unfortunate little helmet throwing tantrum he produced after giving up a pick six in overtime of his last game.

Except he went in for arthroscopic knee surgery after that... so I am afraid he is not going to be of much use. :D

My point is the great players don't take plays off. Moss isn't what KC needs. He doesn't block, he doesn't go over the middle, and he doesn't play hard all of the time.

Since when did it become OK to admit you don't play hard all them time?

He's still dangerous. I'm not saying that its ok to take plays off. I'm just saying that he along with MANY others at the WR position do as well. It's nothing new, especially if the running play is directed towards the other way. And I've seen Moss block. He gets a bad rap because of who he is and what his history is. If he's winning...just like TO, Ochocinco or any other prima-donna(sp?) WR, they'll be okay. I don't see what the big deal is. Would you rather have Chris Chambers, Terrance Copper out there? They're out there doing nothing anyways.

RustShack 11-03-2010 01:28 PM

Lets say Moss takes half of his plays off. He STILL produces more than our other WR's. He also still is a big threat on every play opening things up for everyone else.

Think about it this way. Moss is useless in the running game. He doesn't block, never has, and anyone who says he does is lying to support their own agenda. So if we run the ball 40 times a game and pass it 25 times a game and Moss takes half of the passing plays off because he isn't the number one read on that play, then you are signing a guy to help the team on roughly a dozen plays a game.

I'll argue this point with anyone, you cannot win a championship with Moss on your team.

RustShack 11-03-2010 01:38 PM

Or you could just have Moss jog down the field on running plays bringing at least two or three defenders with him so they aren't in the box stuffing the run game.

You do realize that corners look in the backfield to see what is happening, don't you? If a lineman fires out past the line of scrimmage, the corner won't care what Moss is doing.

Red Dawg 11-03-2010 02:42 PM

merriman will be healthy next season and all of you think he was just good because of roids? He will still be good even wothout roids and ready to play. How is he done? He's not old and had a couple of injury years.

I don't care if he outproduces all of our WR's combined. Our running game will suffer. How many good runs have been sprung this season b/c a receiver made a good block? Plenty in the last game alone. Moss won't make that block, and the Chiefs will pay b/c of it.

**** Moss and Merriman. I'm happy with the team we have to finish out the year.

svuba 11-03-2010 04:19 PM

1. Moss would never come to KC.....he is a deep threat, we dont have a QB that can throw the ball more than 25 yards...

2. Roidboy is a complete f**ktard. I cant think of any player that I would want on the Chiefs less than Roidboy...also he is washed up without the hourly roid injections.

LaChapelle 11-03-2010 04:22 PM

They were showing Merriman highlights -against KC of course
Boomer Grigsby(FB at guess) and Kris WIlson ROFL
Grigsby been out of the league for about 3 years

MahiMike 11-03-2010 04:27 PM

I say we go for Brian Bosworth instead.
