MMMMMM.........Doughnuuuuts
I haven't found a great doughnut since the Mr. Donuts went belly up. Or moved to Japan, which ever came first.
Where in Springfield does :homer: get his? There has got to be more than just Krispy Kreme. Oughta be like a Zeke's or sumpm. Dinny |
Krispy Kreme sucks.
|
Krispy Kreme is nasty!
|
I can honestly say I have never enjoyed a Krispy Kreme doughnut.
I was hoping there is a mom & pop type independent place like Zeke's back up home in the dark ages. Zeke is probably dead about now. And if he's not, it's too long a commute. Dinny |
dunno where you are but Baker's Dozen in Topeka has good 'nuts.

st. georges. battlefield and national.

I'm in the land o' luv.
Springfield. I think :homer: is from Sprigfield also as well. And in addition to. That's why I'm thinking there should be a reasonably groovy doughnut place around here. Dinny |

Doughnuts haven't been the same in KC since the original Lamar's closed up.
If I go anywhere in KC, it's Mr. D's in Shawnee (best maple iced cinnamon rolls in town) or to John's Space Age in OP (cinnamon twists FTW) |

Here in Jo Mo we have a place called Super Donuts.
Let me tell you, it's not just a clever name. |

The original one downtown always had fresh/hot doughnuts because the demand was so high. |
Are there any Daylight Donuts still around? That place used to be the shit, but I haven't seen one in forever...
Krispy Kreme is horrible. Too much sugar, and the texture is nasty. |

And I fully agree that Krispy Kreme is horrible. Everytime some person tells me how good they are, I pity them. Those same people probably think that McD's has the best burger in town too. |
I think Hen House actually has pretty good doughnuts.
|
I'm not supposed to eat donuts any more, but this AM I had a Lamar's twist, just because I had to.
I'm glad I did. Hey Everybody, Let's have some fun. You only live once and When you're dead you're done. Let the good times roll! |
Those waxy little chocolate donuts are the breakfast of champions.
Along with a cigarette. (thanks John Belushi) |
Cake donuts are the best.
Every Sunday morning, I weigh myself. If I'm not too fat, I take a little donut drive to this nice ching-chong place that sells kick ass donuts. Choco-nut, jelly filled, buttermilk...teh shizzle. Come back, hop on the Planet, scarf. I love Sundays. Donuts and football. |

St. George's rules, not only the donut world, but the bagel world. It absolutely owns the apple fritter world.
I'm partial to the East Sunshine location. Don't be late or they'll be gone. |
About a year ago they closed down our local donut shop and replaced it with a sushi bar. :cuss:
|
Just got back from St. George's with a box of GORGEOUS doughnuts.
Got a fresh bag of Kona blend beans. I make the 4th or 5th best cup of coffe this side of Willard. Gonna be a good morning tomorrow. Anybody wanna make the scene? Dinny |
