Matt Flynn
Mofo played like a seasoned playmaking vet QB tonight against a hot Pats team in their house. Too bad he is not our b/u. Croyle will not do and surely Pioli is making plans for a better b/u for next yr. Flynn will be somebody's stud starter in the future for sure. Guy was very poised for very little playing experience. Impressive:thumb:

Flynn is a stud. Funny we drafted Brohm like 5 rounds ahead of him and then cut Brohm anyways the next year.
|
Yeah, the Brohm thing is funny.
|
That offense is setup for qb success he might not be as good on another team. But as for the game against the pats , kudos to him
|
He reminds me a lot of Mark Brunell and not just because he's a backup for the Packers

Whatever the Packers do to coach up QBs I'm surprised other teams haven't discovered the secret to their success and at least tried to mimic or duplicate it. |

A few people suggested that the Chiefs should trade for him, back when Cassel was still having difficulties. I still can't believe that JaMarcus was #1 overall and this guy was a 7th round pick. Scouts and GM's are ****ing dumb, clueless, overpaid ****s. |
remember when Brohm was supposed to a first round pick

Another thing to keep in mind is the Packers have a really good set of receivers in the passing game. |

The Packers sure know how to run the slant.
I just looked at Croyle (drafted 06) vs. Flynn (drafted 08). There is no comparison, only in the coaching they each got after the draft. (As high as I was on Flynn, there was no way the Chiefs were going to draft Flynn, and I was amazed that he went to late in the draft. I was drinking the purple drank, for that matter, as high as I was on JaFatAss Russell back then.) It's all a matter of coaching after the combine and draft. (Funny to see "Father Time" Curl on the bench with Bradford. Bradford excels in spite of the staff in St. Louis.) Kudos to Flynn; he did a great job last nite. |
Backup? LOL
That guy played better in his first start and made more accurate throws against a good defense than Casshole ever has. There's a reason our backups suck - the same reason Belichik wouldn't bring anybody else in back when Brady went down. Poor Matty can't handle the pressure of being outplayed on a daily basis. |
Gotta give the pack and Ted Thompson their due. While Thompson makes some bone headed decisions sometimes (ie not picking up a RB after Grant went down), overall he's done a really good job building the Packers the right way. He's not overly popular, but his success is all over that team.
Consequently I think the Chiefs are doing the same thing. |

Tee Martin got drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers.
 I hope he was a WR project. |
