What awesome gifts did you give for Christmas this year?

My mom is a kitchen fiend. Gave her some warming/service trays and other kitchen gadgets. My wife has turned into a fitness fanatic this year so I got her lots of new clothes, some for working out in but most because she's dropped from a "6" to a "4". Also got her a TRX and an iPod which should be enjoyable while she works out. Got my daughter typical stuff kids want - an MP3 player, some educational items, and some matching penguin PJ's to wear along with her mother's penguin PJ's.

Sent a new bike and some basketballs up to the local PTA so they could distribute to local families in need. Bought some things for the family of a gal who works for me. She's a single mother of 5 and I know what she makes part-time and I know it's not enough to raise her family.

Edit: Don't want credit, rep or anything else but I did think this thread was missing at the Planet. We always talk about the crap we got. I'm just as selfish as the next guy but I have a lot of fun giving stuff as well.

Phobia made Bob Dole's wife fat so Bob Dole bought her 7 new pair of sweat pants. Bought a sweet Crate V50 for a friend who helps Bob Dole out around the house (projects, dog sitting, etc.), bought 3 or 4 random drive thru meals for people who were next in line, and tipped 2 of Bob Dole's favorite bartenders $100 each on a < $6 dollar tab. Also gave away some used stuff rather than selling it.

MOhillbilly 12-26-2010 07:23 AM

I was impressed until I realized you didn't have to buy for a wife or kids. I'm sure your bartenders appreciated it. That's very cool and I'll bet they put it to good use for their own Christmases.

Your wife mentioned that too but she said she's used to it unless you're out of town.

Got my wife a laptop. It's nothing special. Just something for her to play web games and browse the internet, pay bills and such.

At first she thought I bought it for her so I could use it instead of my old one. I assured her that it was HER laptop and hers only. She's never had her own computer and she is excited now. It makes me happy to see her so happy.

LiveSteam 12-26-2010 11:23 AM

I gave my best friend ?
A big bud of lime green pot with orange hairs. Its one hit ganja.
On the flip side,a friend gave me a 2ft bong. Its red & silver & has New England Patriots logo on it. Very cool. Haven't smoked out of it yet. So I will be right back. :-)

It was funny. Course, I teed it up high but still quality execution. She's hotter today than she was 13 years ago. I'm not just being the devoted husband when I say that either.

Window Licking Whiner 12-26-2010 03:53 PM

Edit: My bad.

Got my girlfriend two coach bags, and a Faboulous Furs Blanket (was a suggestion from a friend @ work, and she loves it).

Missed out on wishing every body a Merry Christmas yesterday. All is well now, I had back surgery on Dec. 17th so for me being able to walk is about the best Gift I could have got lol.

My daughter got me an autograph mini helment of Tank Tyler. Ooook. I have to like it. A Glen Dorsey would have made my day!!!

I did get a cool PS2 video game called Gun. It's a shootem up weastern that you can scalp heads. Very realistic and fun to play. Got a Chiefs bumber sticker very cool. Some sox & a winter hat.

Am happy today, my back feels so much better now even tho am still im lots of pain. I can deal with it. My best joy is having my daughter live with me and having my son home for Christmas break. Life is good. Chiefs victory today is another great gift from Santa. Santa Claus is a Chiefs fan.

A day late, but , MERRY CHRISTMAS TO All Chiefs Fans and Chiefs Planet members.

P.S. if you go out on new years, don't drink & drive, don't be a dick.

That is awesome. You're right - what an amazing gift - walking. Our friend rtmike would like a gift like that. The Tank helmet is good too. Bet she doesn't even know he washed up. Bet it was the one she could afford.

I thought about buying the knockoff ones but i've had bad luck with knock off shit falling apart/bleeding in the wash. They were only 20 bucks each, 3 kids, no big deal.

True. But I've had the same problem with expensive crap made in China too. Plus, Reese has so many stuffed animals and pillows in her bed if this one is crap she won't even notice.
