If we get a replacement players and the Chiefs win the Superbowl

Does it count? and would you talk shit to rival fans about?

If it happens and we get replacement players, would you be proud that KC finally got a championship..

007 02-12-2011 01:18 PM

At least they'll have miles and miles of heart.

mnchiefsguy 02-12-2011 01:18 PM

Yes it counts. Everyone will have replacement players, so the playing field will have been equal.

WebGem 02-12-2011 01:20 PM

Why wouldn't it count? And why wouldn't the winning teams fans have bragging rights?

CoMoChief 02-12-2011 01:21 PM

First one in with "Bring Shane Falco in for a look"

Hammock Parties 02-12-2011 01:25 PM

That would be amazing.

ChiefsCountry 02-12-2011 01:58 PM

Shit we try every year at QB position already.

RustShack 02-12-2011 02:01 PM

I think it would be sweet as shit if there was a replacements year.

Bane 02-12-2011 02:05 PM

53 guys off the street......

Quesadilla Joe 02-12-2011 02:15 PM

With the Chiefs luck the lockout would end after they went 16-0 and then they would lose at home in the playoffs to the Steelers. LMAO

Buck 02-12-2011 02:17 PM

Why would there be replacement players in a lockout?

It happened in 1987.

Discuss Thrower 02-12-2011 02:25 PM

Eddie Martel = 7. Matt Cassel = 7...

Wasn't that a Player's Strike?

Mr. Laz 02-12-2011 02:28 PM

it counts but it's not the same

Psyko Tek 02-12-2011 02:32 PM

oh hell no
I will be singing the praises of our genius coach to take 53 off the street and beat everybody else's 53 scrubs

just proves superstars can beat a great coach
with a level playing field the golfer wins

Spott 02-12-2011 04:25 PM

Maybe a strike wouldn't be that bad after all. A year with replacement players might be the only chance I"ll get to see the Chiefs in the Super Bowl, although that team we had in '87 was probably the worst of all the replacement teams.

Rasputin 02-12-2011 04:56 PM

Give Uncle Rico his shot, he should have gone pro any ways.

crazycoffey 02-12-2011 05:20 PM

Can I be the crazy cop Linebacker?

Bump 02-12-2011 05:28 PM

I would be ok if the lockout happens and there is replacement players. I think that would be pretty interesting. Hell, bring on some local ex college players that we used to love.

Todd Reising for QB!!!!!

DaFace 02-12-2011 05:29 PM

Confusing poll, but yes, it counts and no, I wouldn't talk shit to people about it.

THIS

Or, Cassel would be the first to cross the line.

That's pretty gross.

2 of the Redskins' Super Bowl wins were in strike-shortened seasons, does anyone think any less of them?

Best halftime show ever.

Ebolapox 02-12-2011 09:59 PM

I'd be ****ing insufferable if the chiefs ever won the super bowl. seriously, I'd be a huge dickbag (replacement players or not)

Pioli Zombie 02-12-2011 10:19 PM

I loved the games in 1987 with the replacements. Its proved it was about the uniform not the players.

Pioli Zombie 02-12-2011 10:22 PM

The Chiefs wouldn't have a problem replacing Cassel. All they need to do is go to any outhouse, scoop out all the that blue and brown crap mixture, and pour it into a uniform.

Now this is funny. And sadly, probably true.

kysirsoze 02-12-2011 11:16 PM

Can anyone explain how on Earth it wouldn't count? When you think about it, it's already kind of absurd to get wrapped up in the accomplishments of other people (The Chiefs players). Does it make less sense to take pride and excitement from the accomplishments of a replacement batch?

If they're players hired by the Chiefs to play football then they would be every bit the Superbowl champions as any other year. What's the difference?

kcfanXIII 02-12-2011 11:46 PM

I don't think it would count, not professional players. We could say we won the replacement bowl. It wouldn't be a super bowl though.

The moment they get paid to play, they become professional.

But most of them will be players that have already played professionally on some level elsewhere.

Pioli Zombie 02-13-2011 07:33 AM

I wonder how that would effect fantasy football? I can just see the addicts studying up on all the replacements. "Oh man, I only got 22 pts from McGillicutty!!!!!!!"

No...but then again, it's ****ing impossible for me to think less of the Redskins than I already do.

vailpass 02-13-2011 09:01 AM

LMAO at some of you

BigMeatballDave 02-13-2011 11:52 AM

I couldnt really get into 'replacement football'.

The_Doctor10 02-13-2011 01:05 PM

Well imagine if a team was so devastated by injuries that they had to sign a ton of FA's off the street; like, Rohan Davey was playing QB, throwing to Kevin Curtis and Freddie Mitchell, handing the ball off to a recently paroled Maurice Clarett. If THEY won the Super Bowl, it'd still count. In fact, it'd be more impressive.
