87.7 The TICKET is Denver's only "Live & Local" sports station
Anyway as I was leaving Denver today after spending waay to much money on Furniture at American Furniture outlet, I stumbled upon this station and the DJ or whatever he's called Cecil Lammey was dogging every team in the AFC West...Sand Diego is getting old and getting worse the Chiefs are "Frauds" over and over he stated and the Raiders are just that the Raiders... then he went on to say that the Broncos need only a few "off season" acquisitions and a good draft and they will be in the Playoffs this year. So my point is... I hope he's wrong.. lol... (I will say the dude was very passionate.)
you can text the station at 70236 http://www.877theticket.com/page.php...ia_id=53719311 |
Eh, they do that every year out here it seems. For the most part, Denver talk radio is a joke.
(Of course, that's pretty much the case in any city when it really comes down to it.) |
i'd rather "sext" the station.
but i think there's a thread somewhere here about that today. |
87.7 FM? What, is it a community non profit station? A 10 watt college station? Sounds pretty lame to me.

I listened all the way to Limon so, it reached pretty far
|
I wonder if its Knowshit hosting that show
|
Meh, if a fan of another team drove through KC and turned on Fescoe for 5 minutes they would think that Chiefs fans were the biggest homers too.
Sports talk has to choose a side, uber homer or super critical. There's no place for being rational in sports radio. |
Knowmo works at a radio station?
Jesus, they'll hire anybody. Posted via Mobile Device |

Denver is bar none the worst team in the entire AFC and they are a real close 2nd to being the worst franchise in the NFL.
Moving back to a 4-3 is going to completely ruin them. They have nothing on defense. |

This. Rational doesn't sale. Being extreme does. |
If Taco John signs off on this belief. I may have to take my own life.

We don't have any good/young talent on the DL for a 3-4. If we switch to a 4-3 we will have two young studs at DE in Dumervil and Ayers PLUS the second pick in the draft. We have 4 starting caliber 4-3 LB's already in DJ Williams, Woodyard, Joe Mays, and Haggan... heck Ayers might be able to play SOLB in a 4-3.... Denver is a young team on the rise. We have a franchise QB, a franchise RB, a franchise LT, THE BEST WR core in the NFL, THE BEST passrusher in the NFL, and a pretty good secondary. We aren't far away. I think we are set up better for the future than any team in the division. |
A franchise RB? Did I miss something?

Dummervil is not going to be the same after he comes back. They never are.
|
Ayers, the guy with 39 tackles and 1.5 sacks, is a young stud.
Got it. |
Lammey is a joke. You need to listen to Sandy Clough on 104.3 at 7pm weeknights if you want good objective intelligent sports talk. He respects Haley and Pioli and the direction we are going but still has questions about Cassel. I'm sure you can pick up his show by podcasts and it streams as well.

I thought for a second thids was gonna be a real discussion of merit |
Isn't Lammey one of the football writers for www.footballguys.com?
Honestly, he's no more wiser than anyone here... |

You don't have anywhere near the best receivers in the NFL, nor do you have a franchise QB, RB or the best pass rusher in the NFL. What a ****ing ridiculous statement. He's not even close to DeMarcus Ware. He's not even in the top 10 coming off a major injury. Dumervil is not a 4-3 DE. He's too light. Your only hope with him was as a 3-4 OLB. Your team is trash and you are a blabbering ****ing moron. |

Franchise QB... you're referring to Tebow and he's nowhere NEAR that label at this point. Moreno? Please... he's not a 20-25 carry RB, he simply isn't and they need to add someone like DeAngelo. I don't know if I would call them the best WR core... they did very well, but Royal and Thomas are now hurt - missing lots of time and that will hurt the development of Tebow. They don't have a TE worth a damn... that needs to change. There's a lot of upside, but let's not pretend they are 2-3 players away... they're 5-6 playmakers away and they likely won't fix that in one offseason. Especially on defense, they're going on what ... their 7th change in philosophy and coaching for the 7th straight year? That's not good... and that needs to be priority #1. My keys to the Broncos improving: (stop the run & run the ball) #1 - fix the defense... create a philosophy and build the foundation, bring in 4-6 new potential starter/rotational guys to build on the 3-4 good players they have and take the baby steps forward towards improvement. It won't happen in one offseason. #2 - solidify the ground attack. They need a good #2 option to split carries with Moreno. If Tebow is their guy... and we know Fox loves to run, they need to build up in that area. #3 - keep the WRs in tact, hope that guys like Decker can step up and that Royal and Thomas heal completely and early in the season. Then GO GET AN ACTUAL PASS CATCHING TE - Scaife, Boss, M Lewis... they're out there. Those are the 3 main areas and notice that I didn't really address the QB deal and whether or not it should be Tebow or Orton... it won't matter with EITHER of them, if they don't focus on those 3 areas. |
