Man lives dream held by every single long-time Chiefs fan
He got to see his team win one more before he died
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...b-passes-away/ Member of “Never missed a Super Bowl” club passes away Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on February 14, 2011, 2:45 PM EST One of the four men in the “Never missed a Super Bowl” club featured by Visa in an ad campaign before the big game has passed away at the age of 79. Bob Cook was a Packers fan that was unable to attend this year because he was feeling too sick. “Why football?” Cook asked in the commercial. “It’s really the only sport there is, isn’t it?” He watched his team win it all from a hospital bed according to the Associated Press and was surrounded by his family when he passed last week. Our condolences go out to his family. |
That's awesome.

I have feeling everyone of our families will be saying this about our team and us. My luck is the Chiefs will play on Super Sunday, and I will die on Saturday.

I'm glad he wasn't one of the 400 who got shuttled under the stadium beacuse their seats were blocked by the Dallas fire marshall.
|
I watched our first SB win live on tv and am starting to wonder if I'll see a second.
|
So I guess he isn't a member of the never-missed-a-super-bowl club any more. How misleading.
I wonder which guy he was on the commercial, or did they show them all? |

Going out like a male black widow spider
maybe I'll force myself to get into the Royals |
He saw it in January of 97.

he got to see his team win four super bowls. fuck, I'd be happy with ONE.
|
Super Bowls are for other teams. The dream held by every single long-time Chiefs fan is winning a single play off game.
|
I'm betting that he did something a lot more important than watch Super Bowls.
|
I'm hoping he made it clear in his will that all of his future Super Bowl tickets go to me.
I'm wondering how these four managed to get tickets to every Super Bowl. |
