Troops returning home/suprise returns!

This video is touching to me, having had family serve in the past and currently and many of my good friends serving this video made me tear up a little. I am always appreciative of our troops!

My cat shits on the floor while I'm gone and runs out the front door when I come home.

Rams Fan 05-10-2011 09:22 AM

Thanks for posting that.

The Franchise 05-10-2011 09:24 AM

You son of a bitch.

The Franchise 05-10-2011 09:25 AM

I got dust in my eye like 30 seconds in. I hate you.

ToxSocks 05-10-2011 09:32 AM

Oh, you guys are assholes.

Making me cry this early in the morning. Now I can't stop.

God Damnit.

RockChalk 05-10-2011 09:33 AM

That video just had to start off with the little girl! It was dusty in my office about 20 seconds in for me

Mr. Plow 05-10-2011 09:36 AM

Nothing so great as to see the looks on the kids faces as the realize mom/dad was finally home.

They put the most dramatic girl in the opening to kick shit off with a bang. Then it's all waterworks from there once they've squeezed the first one outa yeah.

No doubt, it's like man I have 8 minutes more!

The Franchise 05-10-2011 10:23 AM

That one at 5:30 was basically my Mom when I got back from the desert.

Mr. Plow 05-10-2011 10:32 AM

Why.....WHY did I try to watch it again? The little girl on Santa's lap at 1:30....God help me.

tooge 05-10-2011 10:32 AM

LOL, the little boy at 5:34 affected my eyes a little bit too!

Gravedigger 05-10-2011 10:35 AM

The girl in the beginning, the little girl saying she missed her dad, the mom hugging her two children... powerful stuff.

luv 05-10-2011 10:36 AM

I posted this on my facebook wall once. The first little girl was just a classic moment. You could see every emotion cross her face.

ChiTown 05-10-2011 10:38 AM

I cry like a sniffling 2 year old whenever I which this video. I've now seen it like 3 different times. Great stuff.

Buck 05-10-2011 10:40 AM

Nice vid. Thanks for sharing.

JohninGpt 05-10-2011 11:49 AM

Coming home from the desert, or any deployment, to my wife and kids was the best feeling ever. And yes, I cried like a baby leaving and coming home.

my son was able to call his mother Sunday morning from somewhere in the middle east to tell her happy mothers day. she was walking on air. i didn't even get to talk to him, and i cried like a baby.

BigMeatballDave 05-10-2011 11:59 AM

Its weird how emotions work. How something that makes you so happy you cry, an emotion associated with sadness.

I'm going to Florida next month to pick up my son for the summer. I havent seen him since Christmas. I know I'm gonna sob like a little girl with skinned knees when I see him.

Fire Me Boy! 05-10-2011 12:11 PM

That first girl and the little girl on Santa's lap are so awesome.

Stinger 05-10-2011 12:18 PM

There is a show on Sunday nights that have these and more that my family watches called Coming Home. They set up coming home scenarios for the troop to surprise their love ones on a big scale. Never a dry eye watching these.

http://www.mylifetime.com/shows/coming-home/

Here is a snippet from the first show that is actually football related.

I know a lot of you have seen it numerous times, but my friend is being deployed soon, and I just want to keep the troops and what they do for us always in peoples minds.

Rasputin 03-20-2012 07:13 PM

Yup. The first little girl got me more than anyone else.

dmahurin 03-20-2012 07:28 PM

I'm not even going to try and watch this again. I remember coming home from deployments and the emotions.

Fire Me Boy! 03-22-2012 03:16 PM

Here's a new one....

My son goes off to the Marines in August. This stuff always gets me. I never joined the military, and now that he is going, he'll be the one doing the homecoming.

Fire Me Boy! 03-30-2012 02:19 PM

Not the usual video....

Mike in SW-MO 03-30-2012 03:53 PM

Came home from deployment in '93. My parents paid to have my fiance flown down to meet the ship unbeknownst to me. Hell of a feeling.

Married 17 years now.

Can't imagine how those kids feel, though.

Thank you for your service, Sir!

I watched this with every intention of NOT shedding a tear. I didn't make it very far. My 6 yr old caught me. He said," Are you crying?" I had to fib to him :(

Craqhead 03-31-2012 10:05 AM

These seem to be getting more elaborate, but this one was pretty cool.
