Yahoo Article: Croyle is top 7 among backup QBs
 

Here is an article on Yahoo Sports which ranks the backup QBs of all 32 teams. He also states that several of these QBs are starter-quality.

Not surprisingly, Brodie Croyle is close to the top of the list!

Well besides his W/L's, well err, can you have a W/L record without a win.. But back on topic.. The guy cannot make it even half a season as a starter without going down.. The guy is just too fragile, he should be thanking somebody every day he has an NFL job..

I was on the Croyle bandwagon for so long.....then came the SD game and I just said **** it, he's done IMO. Maybe a 3rd stringer at best. guy just makes terrible decisions and is just too erratic in the pocket.

Yep at this point in time the people who wanted Croyle over Huard at the start of 07 and 08 are looking like idiots. Not because Huard was starting material or the answer either, but because he still head and shoulders better than Croyle ever was.

I was going to be ****ING PISSED that Tyler Thigpen was not #1, but then I realized that this is a list of the top backups, and Thigpen is obviously an All-Pro starter.

He is not much of a backup, its like the backup in Any Given Sunday who is out there for one or two plays, gets hurt and you have to go to the 3rd string. The only good thing about Brodie Croyle is this:

Sadly yes Hurd da Turd was and still is head and shoulders above Croyle .. even if hes out there sumwhere selling hotdogs outa a vender wagon he could come back and win more games than Croyle .. and I was on the Croyle bandwagon too ...

Well yeah, he's such a good starter that he's also his own backup. The backup Thigpen just never gets to take the field cuz starter Thigpen is kicking too much ass.

We either need to start Croyle over Cassel, or trade for a REAL QB like Kolb or Orton! Fans who think that Cassel is a superbowl calibur QB need to get a clue!

Yes, but if Croyle somehow is ranked 7th, then I had no clue how hideously untalented all the back up QBS are in the NFL. I take very little comfort in knowing at least 25 other teams' fans live in horror and fear that the starting QB will suffer an injury that takes him out of the game.

I had no idea how pathetic the back up QB position was / is in the NFL. I just knew from watching Croyle that the Chiefs had issues there.

What a shame it came to, i was definitely enamored with his arm & lunchbucket-type character... those things usually add up to something pretty good.
