Seriously, I feel badly for all fans of the 20 or so teams that aren't playing on a level playing field. Baseball's economics suck and are completely unfair, and it's a damned shame. It detracts from the satisfaction of having a great team or winning the WS, in my opinion, when more than half the rest of the league are crippled by salary limitations.

I remember a few years ago when the Yankees INFIELD (Jeter, A-Rod, Giambi and whoever at 2nd, Soriano maybe), was paid more than the ENTIRE Tampa Bay Devil Rays team. Ridiculous. And the Red Sox payroll is always 2nd or 3rd in the league.

He's a right handed hitter that routinely steps in the bucket. He's got a lefty who throws him belt high fastballs, middle-in. It's the one pitch he should be able to hit, and he sucks two straight at bats. Yet another AAAA player masquerading as a major leaguer.

Davies actually has the stuff tonight that makes evaluators think he can be a starter. He's got the curve working, he's hitting corners with his fastball and he's turning over a changeup/splitter type pitch.
