Anyone going to the Pittsburgh game? We'll be there. Usual spot. Let me know if you're interested in joining us.

007 07-25-2011 04:02 PM

MNF

luv 07-25-2011 04:04 PM

I'm preferring the MNF myself.

Monty 07-25-2011 04:20 PM

MNF could be epic.....

AustinChief 07-25-2011 04:41 PM

MNF SOUNDS great but that's also Halloween and I can assure you that people will make big plans to show up but cancel because their is just too much going on that weekend.

If you want a date you can rely on, make sure NOTHING else is going on. Which is why my vote is for Oct 2nd. (not too cold yet and nothing else happening... I'm assuming the Royals don't make the playoffs :P)

That's probably a safe assumption. :p

But that is some pretty sound reasoning. I actually thought about that as I typed things out. Also, I wasn't for sure about people coming in from out of town getting off of work, etc.

Bugeater 07-25-2011 04:45 PM

There's a good chance I'll be down for the Vikings game. With that said, how the **** do we only have 3 home games the first two months of the ****ing season?

**** you Goodell.

Mr. Flopnuts 07-25-2011 04:46 PM

All of them. ;)

That's something else I noticed. Not too many games to choose from.

The Broncos game is two days before my birthday (big 3-5), so, if we have it then, be sure to bring presents!

The Broncos game is three days after my birthday.

(Big 3-9)

And just what could be MORE important that MNF in Arrowhead? :p

IMO, there is nothing BUT football on that date.

Maybe. Let me look at the money. I'm definitely interested in getting some seats together, I just need to look at the money.

It would be just under $300 for 5 games.

Mona mentioned that there are 3 seats available in front of them for the whole season. I'm sure you and Floppy can take your pick. It's LL Section 128row 23 I think.

Have you SEEN the girls in Austin on Halloween? Not a CHANCE I'm leaving town on that weekend!

And I'm sure for people with trick or treat age kids, it would be impossible to travel to Arrowhead and still be a halfway decent parent.

Yep, I'm with ya...excellent point Kyle.

Also, my kids are teenagers, so trick or treating isn't the "event" that it used to be, although I'll have a bag of candy available for the kiddos of all ages.

bevischief 07-25-2011 06:00 PM

I am open to any of those dates.

KurtCobain 07-25-2011 06:45 PM

I'm open to anything but mnf, I already know I have to run the haunted house at work.

I would love to do the steelers game. Sunday night, and we'll probably have close records. Wooo!

Pablo 07-25-2011 07:15 PM

Got my season tix so I'm down for whenever. Prolly leaning towards the Vikes game.

Bugeater 07-25-2011 10:42 PM

What games are you doing this year as of now, Bug?

I'm either doing Buf or Min, Steelers and the playoff game.

sedated 07-26-2011 07:50 AM

A MNF game...on halloween. That would be an epic party.

luv 07-26-2011 10:49 AM

This is kind of surprising. I figured MNF would get this in a landslide.

Sofa King 07-26-2011 10:50 AM

My dad, brother, brother-in-law and I are eyeing the Chiefs Vikings game. Gonna try to make it down for that.

I'll be at the 9/11 and MNF games. I'd be down.

KurtCobain 07-26-2011 03:42 PM

I'm down for the Vikes game. But I'd love the OOOOficial tailgate to be opening day, that's the game I'm definately going to and then I wouldn't have to find a way to come up with Vike ticks.

luv 07-27-2011 07:25 AM

It looks like we're going to be making the Vikes game the official CP tailgate. However, Monty's crew and our crew plan to join forces for several games this year, including MNF. You all know you're welcome to stop by during any game.

Anyway, not calling it yet. Just letting you all know you've always got someplace to hang out, share your beer, and throw stuff on the grill. :)

By "joining forces" do you mean "parking next to each other"?

It cheaper than buying it in Arrowhead.

007 07-28-2011 10:17 PM

lets take a good hard look at the Bills game again. Yeah, I bought tickets. That spells doom for the Chiefs. LMAO

Monty 09-01-2011 05:31 AM

At this point, I'm planning on parking with Luv and Pappa Smurf and their gang, same location as the playoff game last year. I think the Vikings games is the "official" game, but let's do it up right for this game too.

I'll have a small keg this time since it's warmer and am planning on doing Buffalo Sliders for food. I have some new music, but feel free bring your own if you'd like. I'm always looking for new tailgate songs. :)

We'll be in KC a few days early to work on the Command Center, so can meet for brews and some decent Q during latter part of the week and weekend each afternoon/evening except Saturday night. Already have quality plans. :D

Who's going to come tailgating with us for the Home Opener?

So far the only thing that I really miss being in Florida (other than not seeing old friends and family) is having my tailgates. Having all the visitors, first timers stopping by to share in the good times. Had that sucker going for 13 years. Rain or shine, snow, cold, ice storms etc. Good times.:thumb:
