Tuesday, 8:30 a.m. (Central Time)- Clark/Pioli/Haley Press Conference

http://www.kcchiefs.com/news/article...0-1b8e5c7cf5e8

At 8:30 AM (CST) Tuesday morning Chiefs GM Scott Pioli, Head Coach Todd Haley and President Mark Donovan will hold a press conference at the Chiefs Training Facility. Pioli, Haley and Donovan will unveil plans for operating under terms of the new Collective Bargaining Agreement, the club's training camp plans and answer questions.

Answer questions.

Dude should have a freakin' beard and mustache.... My bet is he has a eight-o'clock shadow goin' on and is grumpy.

Misplaced_Chiefs_Fan 07-25-2011 07:04 PM

Todd'll probably show up at the presser with a weight scale and an evil look in his eye.

"I hope the players have been keeping in shape. Judgment day is coming."

I can just imagine if Bowe gained a few pounds, Todd will ****ing murder him.

I'm glad the Broncos decision makers aren't wasting their time with the media during this hectic week. What happens this week will decide who makes the playoffs.

They could, if training camp was in River Falls. I can understand that argument due to distance and lack of preperation/time. St. Joe? Negative, considering it's only 45 minutes to the north.

Not all teams are at the start of a rebuild after a coach embarrassed their franchise.

They could have done it KC. Easily since the logistics of doing it in St J were all messed up.

I am not surprised they are still doing it up north but the idea you have in your head that the possibility of doing it in KC is somehow crazy is false.

That doesn't surprise me one bit. He was probably waiting for them to open the doors. I hope his enthusiasm shows in his play on the field this year.

They also limited full-contact practices during camp to one a week and limited off-season training requirements. It seems like limiting off-season training will increase injuries if players come into camp out of shape.

Showing your true stupidity again.

You know what decided who makes the playoffs? The core of players established on teams over the last 3 years.

Not signing a bunch of free agents to huge contracts.

Funny though, John Elway was the biggest exec twitter whore the entire off-season.

Are you also that dumb to believe the Chiefs don't have other people working the phones and negotiating the deals? You really think Pioli is the only one who does it?

Exactly.

And if anyone's been to camp over the last 5 years, you'd know this isn't really going to be much different.

SuperChief 07-26-2011 08:51 AM

Hopefully we don't revert back to the days of watching the likes of Greg Wesley tackle. Lord knows that dude (and all others on the team at the time) probably NEVER practiced with pads on. It showed on the field.

the only times I remember seeing more than one padded practice in a day was Vermiels first year...maybe a couple his second year too.

Herms practices were like a ****ing club med.

Surprised he didnt have air conditioning blowers all over the place when it got over 80 degrees.

Trading Orton and starting Tebow is the last piece to the puzzle.

Deberg_1990 07-26-2011 09:35 AM

If practicing less in pads means prolonging players careers, helps keep them fresh for the post season or helps cut down on injuries, then im all for it.

This is why I wasted my time at least 3x before I stopped attending pressers when I had credentials. I'm a slow learner but not really that slow. I mean, it's a kick in the pants to be in the locker-room postgame once but when everybody is providing coach-speak answers then what's the point? I don't have the patience for that kind of assignment.
