Chiefs cuts

Roster cuts starting to trickle in

The list of confirmed roster cuts is at seven. Fullback Shane Bannon, tight end Charlie Gantt, offensive linemen Chris Harr and Mike Ingersoll, linebackers Pierre Walters and Micah Johnson and defensive back Reshard Langford have been informed they will be released.

Bannon was the Chiefs' seventh-round draft pick this year.

I'm aware of the report that Tony Moeaki is going on IR after injuring his knee against Green Bay. I'm waiting on

Though Pawnmower's a whiner, I've searched for YEARS for a vB mod that would let us have a "quick summary" post that people could edit to keep threads like this up to date. My dream would be for supporters to be able to team up and keep huge threads up to date with a nice summary.

Alas, I've been looking for at least 3 years now and haven't ever found anything.

Could be, but that's why it would (theoretically) be a "supporters only" think. It'd also be one of those things where people who abuse it would lose their privs in a hurry.

Not that it matters since I can't find a way to do it.

Yeah but if we want to sign anybody, more guys are going to have to go.

mcaj22 09-03-2011 04:31 PM

lol @ Battle making the team.

interesting that we only have OConnel and Anthony Becht (who hasnt played in like 2 years) as the only TEs on the roster. They have to be bringing a couple in that get cut.

At least the Quinten Lawrence experiment has come to an end.

veist 09-03-2011 04:31 PM

Only one of those that is at all surprising is Mims.

If we could predict the future then yes. Otherwise no. Heath Miller is the better TE anyways.... Let the Donald Lee era begin.

NJChiefsFan 09-03-2011 04:40 PM

So Colbert over Tucker, Piscatelli over Langford, and Becht over Slate when we already have Pope. They have to go get a TE now. Also, why is Battle still on the team. Lets forget how bad he has looked. Even IF the Chiefs liked him, is he really going to help at all? Lot of guys I would take over him to help on special teams.

pr_capone 09-03-2011 04:41 PM

Wondering why Copper, Washington, & Battle are still on the team.

Glad Lawrence is finally gone tho.

slapnutz_4 09-03-2011 04:56 PM

did brandon bair make the team?

BossChief 09-03-2011 04:56 PM

Being a receiver is all about being dependable so that you build a trust factor with the QB and he feels comfortable throwing you the ball in crucial situations.

Tucker showed an improved ability to run his routes well enough to get a lot of separation but he failed to catch the ball in too many situations.

I would have liked to have seen him make the team, but life goes on.

CaliforniaChief 09-03-2011 04:58 PM

That's fine, but I never want to see another pass thrown to Terrence Copper.

Both Colbert and Copper are 29+ in age and have reached there ceiling.Tucker is younger and is not anywhere near what could be his ceiling. He is just as capable as Copper on ST and Colbert is just the most reeruned pick up ever. **** Copper I'm tired of his ST play always getting him by every year and the mediocrity he shows at the receiving position.

mcaj22 09-03-2011 05:10 PM

I am assuming Washington and Copper had no competition at gunners on special teams, so they were kind of locks for that reason even if they suck garbage at their natural positions they are listed
