ForeverChiefs58 10-02-2011 02:00 PM

The Chiefs love to do the opposite of what fans want. They won because so many want them to lose. If everyone goes back to wanting them to win again, they will no doubt lose every game.

factortobe 10-02-2011 02:00 PM

GO CHIEFS !!!

Thig Lyfe 10-02-2011 02:01 PM

YAY VICTORY WIN!!!

milkshock 10-02-2011 02:01 PM

it was quite clear to me after last weeks performance that we were never seriously in the running for luck. in fact we are probably only marginally worse than last season with some pro bowlers at key positions . i see us being 4-4 at mid season .

Dude, with their schedule this year they still might get that top spot.

I can't root for them to lose, though.

Huskers got trampled, chiefs won. Life is good.

Neg rep for rooting against your team. I don't want any loser attitude popping into the Chiefs. How is that # 1 pick faring out for the Rams?

Defense played pretty good today. One victory does not disqualify us from the Luck sweepstakes either. Enjoy a moment of winning!

While the thought of Luck was great.... there was no chance the Chiefs were going to go winless, which is what I think it will take to get the #1 pick.

Where are all those championships that JaMarcus Russell, Alex Smith, Carson Palmer, Michael Vick and Tim Couch have won? Chargers traded away Eli. Did Jake Long, Mario Williams and Coutney Brown have to open up the vault for all their rings? If you have a team that sucks so much they have the first pick, they earned their ineptitude and it will probably continue. The fans give up on them (as we've seen here), the players just collect their paychecks and ownership was probably already fugged up anyways and will continue to do so.

You're delusional. There have been two 0 win teams in the Super Bowl era. Look at the schedules of all those teams. They play each other. Seattle looks the worst to me but they play in the horrid NFC West. Everybody quit crying about one win. I myself like to see the Chiefs win. I'd rather stand in front of a moving train than to root for the Raiders to beat the Chiefs.

That sucked to be so bad and still not get the #1 pick. Matt Stafford was my one bright spot that season.

Of course, the Chiefs COULD have drafted the other franchise QB in that draft...... Josh Freeman.

The Chiefs have one of the tougher schedules in the league. I think there will be a 1 win team in the league this year. There may be more than one team with 15 losses.

That means, the Chiefs have to get to ZERO.

Remember, just a few years ago, the Chiefs had two wins and still picked third.

So, yeah, the only way they get the #1 pick is to go winless.

Go add up the number of Super Bowls won by QBs taken #1 overall.

Then, compare it to the number of Super Bowls won by any other draft pick.

If any other draft pick has a number of SBs > #1 overall, let me know.

Eli Manning, John Elway, Peyton Manning, Troy Aikman, Terry Bradshaw.

Eleven Super Bowls right there.

Eli Manning and Elway are apples and oranges because they did not play for the team that drafted them. They did not go to the worst team in the league. The reason for the high number of fails for the overall #1 is they have no team around them or those organizations expect they just need to plug in the franchise QB and they should be instantly better. I would also argue that Aikman is a diffent case because the Cowboys got so many draft picks they were loaded. Their trade of Herschel Walker directly or indirectly got them Emmitt Smith, Alvin Harper, Jesse Soloman, Dixon Edwards, Darren Woodsen, David Howard, Issac Holt and Russell Maryland.

He has regressed this year. He's hitting less than 50% of his passes only getting 5.62 ypa.
