**** the official Chiefs vs. Patriot game thread ****
Let's win this whoo hoo. Also because i want Brady to cry like big time.
|
No, we want a loss. No point in winning another game.

I don't know what I anticipate more: this game or a kick in the sack.

Actually I mean :shake: Awww **** it...LMAO |
I need 15pts from Breaston & Bowe in order to win this week in fantasy. Please at least get me that.

I was so happy that the Chiefs didn't lose yesterday!!! They've decided to wait until today!!
Go Chiefs... |
the only thing exciting about this game is that we're a sprained ankle away from Stanzi invading the UN...
|
Pats now -16.5 on scoresandodds. Largest line of the season?
And will we lose by at least four touchdowns for the fifth time under Pioli/Haley's leadership? I know, I know. Bereft of talent, blah, blah, blah, which is exactly why the cornerstones of the team were acquired under the previous regime. |

How fitting it will be that Stanzi comes in in the middle of the 3rd quarter and leads a come from behind win against the Patriots.
|
Stanzi will start a fight with Brady after the game, Highlander style...

Hunt, you're a failure of an owner!!! You wanted consistency and got it...we consistently SUCK, and now we're down to hoping for a quickening!! |
Chiefs will take the nation by storm... and totally dominate the Patriots on National TV, as the first step to winning 10 straight and winning the Championship, knocking off the Packers who will be undefeated coming into the Super Bowl.

I feel like any scene from The Road properly sets the mood for this game

LOL, I'm working up something special for my 4,000th post!! That ought to be tonight...

Pre-Game stuff:
By Greg A. Bedard, Globe Staff We go to our man Kent Babb of the Kansas City Star to find out what's going on with the Chiefs. Before you get to the Q&A, make sure you check out Kent's story on Chiefs general Scott Pioli and how other former Patriots have fared trying to duplicate the Patriots' Way. And away we go: 1. So, is Falko Calabaloo (aka Tyler Palko) capable of this or what? Babb: "I have no reason to think he is. What I saw of Palko during training camp and the preseason is exactly what you'd expect to see from a guy who has barely played in the NFL, and most of that coming on practice squads. He is athletic, and that could help to mask the Chiefs' dreadful pass protection, but he's not accurate, and his arm isn't especially strong. I learned in 2008 to never count out a quarterback, because back then, Tyler Thigpen occasionally gave the Chiefs a chance to win. But the odds are pretty bad for Palko." 2. Who is the one Chiefs player most Patriots fans don't know right now, but will by the end of the game on Monday? Babb: "Tamba Hali, the Chiefs' best outside linebacker and one of the NFL's best -- but most unknown -- pass rushers. He's a bit of a mystery man, almost never talking to the media and all, but the guy can get after quarterbacks. The Chiefs' defense is banged up, and if it has a chance of disrupting the Patriots' passing game, it'll be because Hali was a big problem for Tom Brady." 3. What's the biggest weakness on the Chiefs' offense you expect the Patriots to try to exploit? Babb: "There are a few. Palko is the obvious one, but more than that, the offensive line and running backs aren't the least bit intimidating. If New England's line can push around the Chiefs' offensive linemen, which at least on the right side -- Palko's blind side -- seems like a foregone conclusion with Barry Richardson presumably still lining up at right tackle, it could further disrupt what little rhythm the Chiefs get going." 4. What's the biggest weakness on the Chiefs' defense you expect the Patriots to try to exploit? Babb: "The secondary is dealing with some injuries, most notably, of course, safety Eric Berry, who's out for the season with a torn ACL. But Brandon Flowers and Brandon Carr, the Chiefs' top two corners, have some injuries, too, and are questionable. There's a lot of talent in the secondary, but it won't be effective if players aren't 100 percent." 5. Finally, Chiefs win on Monday night if.... Babb: "...Tyler Palko is somehow the next Tom Brady or Tony Romo, a guy teams passed on and really had no idea about, and then became a star. The odds of that happening are about as bad as the Chiefs winning at Gillette Stadium, with a first-time starting quarterback, with a wounded pass defense." http://www.boston.com/sports/footbal.../extra_points/ |

Cassel will be safe on the sideline in New England
I wouldn't want to be him on the sideline next Sunday night Unless it's all Steeler fans -even then |
I predict Gronkowski and Hernandez are going to be in beast mode. We struggle to cover one tightend, how are we going to cover two?

I think Mr. Craft had a little talk with Mr. Pioli about this and a spark of revenge was in his eye. Kiss the ring Mr. Pioli, kiss the ring... |
I am going to look on the bright side and say we only lose by 30 points.
It will take decades to get over losing two Future HOFers in Gonzo and Jared Allen-our team would be Much different if we still had them. Look how long it took the Red Sox to get over giving away Ruth?? |

I'm in the Uno's in the downtown mall in Providence eating a late lunch. I didn't realize it but Haley was in here, LOL. The guy next to me at the bar went out for a smoke and saw him leave.

Chiefs still haven't put Cassel on IR yet. Flowers, Carr expected to play for KC. Dorsey sounds like a game-time decision. |

Chiefs DL Glenn Dorsey is out, per a club source. Tested that knee, but not ready to go. |
in b4 we injure brady and hoyer is starting here next year
|
The ESPN pregame talk will go something like this.
Mike Tirico - Brady, bla bla bla bla bla bla, Brady, bla bla bla bla, Belichick, bla bla bla bla, Brady, bla bla bla bla bla bla, what do you think Jon. Jon Gruden - Brady, bla bla bla bla bla bla, Brady, bla bla bla bla bla, Belichick, bla bla bla bla, Brady, bla bla bla bla bla bla, what do you think Ron. Ron Jaworski - Brady, bla bla bla bla bla bla, Brady, bla bla bla bla bla, Belichick, bla bla bla bla, Brady, bla bla bla bla bla bla. Repeat. |
I hope Palko looks like shit the next couple of weeks so they will have no choice but to play Stanzi who will be good enough to prove 2 things to Pioli. 1) we have our backup QB and we desperatly need a QB in the first round.
|
AlbertBreerAlbert Breer
Jon McGraw also out for Chiefs. As expected Flowers and Carr are active. |
On the train to the game. Actually saw a few Chiefs jackets and hats. Talked to a middle-aged couple from the midwest on the platform, told them about CP.
|
will this game be on kcfx?
