And as an aside, I'm mildly impressed with CBS that they haven't cut our turd of a game off just to show us the pure awesomeness that is Brady and the Pats. [/derp]

stevieray 12-04-2011 02:43 PM

ya, he's pretty much a stud.

JD10367 12-04-2011 02:50 PM

He was wide open on the first TD. Note to defenses: he's, uh, kinda good; you might consider putting a ****ing defender on him.

ThaVirus 12-04-2011 03:29 PM

He has a very punchable face, I will say that..

Amnorix 12-13-2011 09:51 AM

Has anyone seen this ridiculous play? Not great tackling by the Redskins to say the least, but still, damn!

At this rate, Gronk is going to replace Russ Francis as my favorite Pats TE of all time (with all due respect to Ben Coates, who was also very, very good).

All three of her.

Consistent1 12-13-2011 10:06 AM

Gronk is tough to stop, can still block and be pretty physical too. Jimmy Graham may have slightly more athletic talent, and even that is debatable at this point, but those two are monsters. Finley has sort of got lost in the monsterous Packer reciever core, but he is tough also. Finley and Graham just aren't the same overall player as Gronk, but they may end up posting better yardage years here and there.

She's a little heavy but I'd still hit it like the fist of an angry god. Nice rack, great BJ lips, sexy eyes.

Here's the scary stuff about Gronk.

1.) He's very young and will only get better.

2.) He already plays the position with his head as well as his body. (When it comes to real-world, he's a very likeable doofus, but when it comes to football, he's very smart.)

3.) Jimmy Graham leads the NFL with 80 catches for 1101 yards. Gronk is 23 yards behind him at 1108, but only has 71 catches; since his YPC average is 15.3, you can hypothesize that with 9 more catches he'd be at 1246.

4.) And Gronk is doing all of this on a team with the NFL's leading WR (Wes Welker) AND sharing balls with ANOTHER tight end (AHern) who's 8th in TE yardage at 607. Imagine if Gronk was the main target all the time...

The kid is a true beast. Physically he's unstoppable. He's got ridiculously soft hands for a big guy. He's so tall that his catch radius is off the charts; he simply has to outjump defenders or shield them off with his big frame. Teams know he's going to be the target, and they still can't do anything about it. He's already got the record at 15 touchdowns, and can easily score 2 more per week to finish with over 20.

It doesn't hurt that he has a FHOFer QB passing him the ball.

If he was the main TE.....it would be easier to shut him down. As it is now....teams try and shut down Hernandez and Gronk kills them. If they shut down Gronk....Hernandez kills them. If they shut both of them down.....Welker rapes them.

And yeah....like it was already posted....it helps that he has a future HOFer in Brady throwing him the ball.

Bump 12-13-2011 01:14 PM

he has won me many a fantasy football game :)

Bump 12-13-2011 01:14 PM

and didn't we draft DMC over him too, ROFL Pioli fail

Bump 12-13-2011 01:15 PM

granted he wouldn't do all that damage without Tom Brady passing to him, but he's still very very good.
