We picked up Orton on waivers, which means we had to get rid of a player on the roster. Gaither didn't do shit for us, so he was the odd man out. He was also only on a one year deal which might have played into the decision, as well.

Dude is playing lights out. Just like he did eat and every time he stepped on the field for the Chiefs. Cutting Gaither was a ****ing reeruned move and I called it at the time, that he was completely healthy. **** Bill Muir. Dude can't assess OL talent or Coach it for his life.

Mims was a bigger priority? What about Maneri? Couldn't you cut his worthless ass? Nope, Muir has a hard-on for him b/c he's white.

He didn't do shit for us b/c they didn't allow him to. He is a better LT than Albert, HANDS DOWN! Nobody got close to the QB when Gaither was blocking them, and he wasn't all that bad in the run game either.

Albert is a decent LT, but he would make a EXCELLENT LG, and his speed/athleticism would benefit our running game quit a bit with him pulling.

Having Gaither, Albert, Hudson, Asamoah, and a Player to be determined would have been AMAZING. Especially with the skill position players we already have. A QB and a stud RB to pair with Charles and we'd have been SET.

I've never been more convinced than I am now that keeping Stanzi beneath Palko was done on purpose, and not because Stanzi is a worse QB than Palko. There are other idiotic, stupid, and ****tarded reasons why this is the case.

I KNEW Gaither was good to go. He was our best offensive lineman on the roster during preseason. And Stanzi was our best QB during preseason.

And what do they have in common?

Pioli could have done more this offseason, but who knows if it would have even done any good. Gaither was a good signing, and Haley got absolutely nothing out of him.

What pissed me off most during preseason, they kept from playing Stanzi in the last game & I don't remember him playing the second to last game. They had Cassel in against the Packers turd team scrubbs and couldn't move the damn ball in the fourth quarter. They wanted so baddly for Cassel to take head to the offense and he never clicked, doing the same thing with Palko and totally neglecting Stanzi.

What's the point of keeping him on the roster if the coach isn't ever going to play him anyway? He was on our roster for 12 weeks and couldn't get on the field. That decision is on Haley.

Same thing as Pioli going out and getting an upgrade at QB in Orton and Haley refusing to play him because we have Tyler ****ing Palko.

Yea I am sure they paid Orton $2MM for 6 games and never discussed who was going to play.

Once a guy is on the team, the coach controls who plays. Yes, that includes Cassel, Stanzi, Orton and Palko.

It is truly amazing that Richardson got the starts over Gaither. Given Muir's comments about the deal, it makes even less sense because, apparently, Gaither was in good enough shape to start for the Vagos.

He held like an anaconda the whole game, but still - Richardson has to go ... and could have gone. As usual, there's probably more to the story that we'll never know. That doesn't fix the ORT problem, though.
