Reports:
TJ Ford to Spurs Tracy McGrady to Atlanta Earl Watson to Atlanta Grant Hill likely to stay with Suns Shane Battier to Miami Jason Kapono to Lakers Roger Mason to Wizards Sebastian Telfair to Suns |
I've read reports that Grant hill is leaning towards the Knicks not the Suns.
|
Sheesh, can Grant Hill even play anymore?
|
Quote:
|
Grant Hill can still play.
|
Yeah he still has game.
Can guard 3 positions and give you spot duty at the point. Probably one of the smartest players in the league as well. And he might be 39 but he doesn't have a lot of mileage on his body considering all the time he missed earlier in his career. |
Caron Butler supposedly favoring Bulls. Surprised he'd be their MLE guy given his injury history. I'd expect them to go hard after JRich first, although maybe they've already been told he's look for more $ than they can afford.
Celtics still angling for Chris Paul, and may be best option as Warriors and Clippers not interested in trading Curry or Gordon with chance Paul bolts after season. |

Now word is Tyson Chandler to the Knicks is almost certain. Billups probably traded or amnestied. Whispers of Amare then going to NO for Paul. Things are about to get crazy.

Okay, what the hell does amnestied mean?
And can Shane Battier play? (this is a real question.. not rhetorical). Once it gets outside Florida's college team, I hardly pay attention to basketball. |

Kings are close to signing Chuck Hayes.
|
Shannon Brown to Phoenix?
Bring in CP3 :) |
Caron Butler to Clippers, 3 yr/24M. Not sure Chicago had that kind of coin, and Clips moved quickly after Prince signed with Detroit. Camp starts tomorrow, so chaos for the next several days.
|
Big CP3 rumor now is Lakers get CP3, give Gasol to Rockets and KevMart and Scola to New Orleans. If Lakers don't give up Bynum/Odom in this deal, maybe they end up with CP3 and Howard after all.
|
Who are the Bulls after? Or are we gonna wear Rose down again.
|
Spurs are looking to dump Richard Jefferson under the Amnesty clause. They had been courting Caron Butler but looks like he just signed with the Suns.

Bulls are on the verge of signing Rip Hamilton. JRich would have been a bit better IMO, but he probably wants more money than Rip. Nice signing for the Bulls. They had to upgrade at SG, and they needed someone else that could score. That said, they could still use Jamal Crawford, as Rip isn't really a guy that creates his own shot. They need one more guy, other than Rose, who can create when the shot clock runs down.
|
Howard has finally requested a trade. I would think it will be between NJ and LA. Dallas has been reportedly been clearing room for Paul, Howard or Williams but they may all get locked up if Howard goes to NJ. I don't see the Magic being interested in anything they have to offer trade wise.
I see Howard and Williams playing together with the Nets going to Brooklyn soon. |
I think the Bulls need to make a bigger splash than that to do some damage this year. Be creative with the cap, make some space, do something. We can't expect Rose to repeat his best Superman impersonation this year.

Howard requested to be traded to NJ.
Magic sign Jason Richardson. |
Pretty useless thread without the transactions being posted in the OP

If Chris Paul cannot go to either the Knicks or Lakers, his preference is to end up with the Cilppers, according to sources.

Why did the Lakers trade Odom for the exception if they aren't going to get anyone?

Chris Paul to the Clippers sounds like it might be close. There are differing reports on whether Eric Gordon is involved. If not, it will be a great deal for LA. Add Paul to Gordon, Griffin, Jordan (assuming the match) and Caron Butler and this team could be a force. Paul might average 15 assists throwing oops to Griffin and Jordan along with Gordon's outside shooting. Depth up front could be a problem, but what a fun team to watch.

If Gordon isn't included, that's an awful deal for the Hornets. I know that people really hate Kevin Martin and Scola on most message boards, but that haul is basically Kaman, who is an oft-injured garbage man, Aminu, who has shown next to nothing (and a player the Clips keep burying with their acquisitons) and Bledsoe (who's hurt now, and has no offensive game) plus a first rounder that could end up in the 5-10 range.
I don't see how the Hornets get better with that. If Gordon is included, yes, if he's not, that's a terrible trade that will have the Hornets with an empty arena and nothing to draw any potential ownership group to it. |
Pacers amnesty James Posey

that Minny pick and then the Hornets being horrible this season, could end up being two top 5 picks and at least two top 10 lottery picks in a deep upcoming draft. the potential of having any two of: Harrison Barnes, Anthony Davis, Jared Sullinger, Perry Jones, etc should be very attractive for a small market team that is in need of new owners. |

I can't wait to see Chauncey flip the **** out.

He'd be good on the clippers i think. If that does go down, then Clipps out of the Paul running. NBA is ****ing the Hornets more and more.
