Brandon Roy retiring
|
The guy could've been a superstar. Seriously.
|
Yup, sad day for Roy and Blazers fans.
|
Damn. He was kind of the guy that was supposed to make the Blazers super potent.
Kind of ended up going the way of Yao Ming. Too bad. |

His knees were bad since college. Everyone in Portland knew this was coming sooner or later.
That Dallas comeback was epic! |

What I don't understand is they gave him that max contract when they knew his knees were gone. |

Yeah, yeah, horseshoes & hand grenades. |
I will always remember that series as the series where the Mavs found their testicles.

that really sucks for him, how many years did he have in the league. Couldn't be more than 5 right?
|
It's really too bad. Between him and Oden, Blazer fans are going to have nightmares about knees for years.
|
It's too bad. He could have been a great one. I don't remember if it was game 3 or 4 last year against Dallas where he carried the team on his back in the 4th quarter comeback. One of the gutsiest performances I've seen.

Wow, how's that for a bad day. These guys were pretty much supposed to be the foundation of championship Blazer teams. Just couldn't ever stay healthy... and in one day Roy retires, Oden's knees put him down again, and Aldridge has to have his heart looked at.
|
Wasn't Oden supposed to go to the Heat or something?

I bet Roy is an NBA head coach in 6 or 7 years.
