The lack of artificial light is going to really hurt the passing attack for both teams in this game.

Okie_Apparition 12-19-2011 07:32 PM

Well we know there won't be a baby boom in 9 months
bada bing

Come on first ever no light game.

Both teams are already confirmed for playoffs. Who cares?

SPchief 12-19-2011 07:34 PM

You can see the field from the blimp, why not play?

Goldmember 12-19-2011 07:34 PM

That is one of the ugliest oldest stadiums I've ever been in. New stadium is way overdue. The charge $25 to park in a gravel parking lot

Pasta Little Brioni 12-19-2011 07:35 PM

STEEL MEN ARE COMING

Looks like more lights came on. I took my eyes off the tv, and looked back and it's much lighter than it was.

Give the players headlamps.

Dylan 12-19-2011 07:35 PM

ESPN says, said it could be a significant delay ... that is hilarious!

ShowtimeSBMVP 12-19-2011 07:35 PM

BREAKING: With the power being out at Candlestick Park and Ben Roethisberger's presence, all females have been advised to leave the premises

Caseyguyrr 12-19-2011 07:35 PM

haha that is awesome

Dr. Johnny Fever 12-19-2011 07:35 PM

Man I'm glad this didn't happen at Arrowhead on MNF... how embarassing.

Bugeater 12-19-2011 07:35 PM

I like the power outage's chances in this game.

Yeah, but not the main lights.

It's too dark still I think.

SPchief 12-19-2011 07:37 PM

Everyone is safe according to ESPN. Big Ben knows how to pay people off quickly apparently.

Okie_Apparition 12-19-2011 07:38 PM

The MNF set is really on the field
I thought it was fake ROFL

Buck 12-19-2011 07:39 PM

Whoa you could actually see that transformer explode. That's cool.

I wonder if the fans thought that it was part of the pregame festivities???

SPchief 12-19-2011 07:39 PM

If the lights were out, then how were their earphones working?

SPchief 12-19-2011 07:39 PM

OMG the kids, are they ok?

Dylan 12-19-2011 07:40 PM

what does ESPN know?

Boomer going with the "earthquake" drama!

Jesus, let's make people nervous

Dr. Johnny Fever 12-19-2011 07:40 PM

Didn't the Mayans say it would start with something like this

Bwana 12-19-2011 07:40 PM

I blame Bane for the outage.

journeyscarab 12-19-2011 07:50 PM

Must have been a peak usage time for dildos and sex toys in the vicinity of the stadium.

Dylan 12-19-2011 08:03 PM

Why would Ben wear two different colored shoes on the field?

Good to know which foot we should crush /49er defense

stonedstooge 12-19-2011 08:03 PM

Orthopedic shoe not looking too bad

he might want to get rid of the ball real quick before they pounce -- i think he's gonna go for the two-step drop. the hell with the three.

stonedstooge 12-19-2011 08:15 PM

Troy P. got mauled on that play

Marcellus 12-19-2011 08:15 PM

Dylan 12-19-2011 08:16 PM

It's the only way that average teams can keep pace with the big boys.

Tim Tebow, Meryl Streep, ‘Survivor’ lift CBS

The Sunday ratings reflect the fascination with Tim Tebow, quarterback of the Denver Broncos.

The Broncos lost to New England and Tom Brady, yet the game was a huge winner in the ratings as it ran 34 minutes into prime time.

Early ratings for the 7 p.m. half-hour show that 26.9 million viewers caught the end of the Denver-New England game.

Early ratings show CBS averaged 15.9 million viewers in prime time to NBC’s 11.8 million, a number that’s likely to grow. We’ll have the updated numbers Tuesday morning. San Diego beat Baltimore on NBC’s “Sunday Night Football.” Way back were ABC with 4.8 million in prime time, followed by Fox with 4.2 million. CBS edged NBC for leadership in the 18-to-49 age group, according to the early ratings.

At some point, Tomlin must decide whether it is worth the risk of playing Ben with an injury. Two terrible INT and he missed on what should have been a third.

Munson 12-19-2011 08:47 PM

This is what happens when the left wing hippies try to make your stadium run off solar power.

SPchief 12-19-2011 08:47 PM

Brilliant, they won't see me run on the field with the lights out
