Put it this way, the Chiefs haven't a first round pick at the QB on the roster since Blackledge in 1987. Even when they pick up other teams quarterbacks it was always a low round player. 24 YEARS without a single first round pick of anybody's at the QB position. |

What is sad is how CLEAR the correlation is to us winning the AFL/AFC and having a slew of 1st round QBs on the roster... apparently we REALLY knew what we were doing in the 60s and have been pretty clueless since. |

Hard to believe Warren Moon UFA.
|
Hudson, selected by Kansas City in the 1987 NFL Draft, was the last quarterback drafted by the Chiefs to start a game until Brodie Croyle(wiki)

Good Lord, that is disgraceful.

I recall that Adams was signed after a pretty good year in the WFL in 1974. But yeah, after looking it up, he was indeed drafted in the 14th round (by SD) in '73.

BRODIE CROYLE FOR PRESIDENT!LOL

Man I forgot about Dave Kreig...http://wwwdelivery.superstock.com/WI...k_863-W125.jpg
|
Jfc how sad is that list?
I need to laugh to keep from crying. |
vomit.
|
Matt Blundin 2nd round pick, iirc tried about four pass plays, and that was that.
|
I did pan NE for spending a 7th on Cassel in real time...
Little did I know Billy B would be able to dump him for a high second to a "genius" NFL FO operative... |

an absolutely shameful list. |
Honestly, if Girlbac was an 8th round pick I have to admit he overachieved.
He ****ing downed us as a franchise but he overachieved... |

It's not about when you pick them. It's about how you pick them, who coaches them, and who they have around them... |
