Put it this way, the Chiefs haven't a first round pick at the QB on the roster since Blackledge in 1987. Even when they pick up other teams quarterbacks it was always a low round player. 24 YEARS without a single first round pick of anybody's at the QB position. |

I recall that Adams was signed after a pretty good year in the WFL in 1974. But yeah, after looking it up, he was indeed drafted in the 14th round (by SD) in '73.
