Fisher not interested
Jeff Fisher might return to the NFL after a season away, but he won't be roaming the sidelines in Kansas City, according to a report by Jack Harry of KSHB NBC in Kansas City:

On the other hand, the Chiefs don't have a current quarterback controversy anywhere near the level of Collins/Young, but the return of a healthy Matt Cassel in 2012 could create a heated a competition with Kyle Orton. LINK Not saying I wanted Fisher, but its interesting to hear he doesn't like the ownership or QB situation. |
No shit he doesn't like the ownership. It's not going to bend over for him.
|
Good. We're not impressed with his coaching resume.
|
Yesssssss!

Good. We are not interested in him, either.
Clayton weeps ... |
Good. I'm not interested in him either.
|
Great news to here.....thanks for disliking us Fisher.
Look forward to kicking your overrated butt if you every get another. |
Not impressed with the QB situation.......surprising.

LOL. Too Funny, if true. Not impressed with the Ownership. Well after working with the looney tunes Texan in Nashville and the Half talent ass clown in Vince Young. It's no wonder he proceeds with caution, in this situation.

Not impressed with ownership? Doesn't like the QB situation?
Shocking and unbelievable... |
Thank the Flying Spaghetti Monster!!
|
Please let this be true.
|
So we'll hire Fisher a day after the season is over.
|
good ......
|
I want Gruden, but I'm afraid he won't like the GM situation.
|
Ferentz - No
Fisher - No Down to Crennel and McDaniels. Hiring Crennel permanently might end up biting Pioli's plan in the ass. He doesn't seem impressed with Cassel either. |
What are the chances these are simply Jack Harry’s words and not Fischer’s?

Source in Kansas City says Chiefs Fans are not impressed with Fisher coaching ability and don't like his long term mediocrity and roster mismanagement in Tennessee. KC is not in his future.

Bravo to Jeff Fisher for wanting to join a quality organization committed 100% to winning a championship. My respect for him just jumped.
|
I bet he wants to go to SD or Indy. All indications are the guy wants to cherry pick a spot where he has a franchise QB, or can take one.
That's the ironic thing about this... everybody's ripping on Fisher and he's probably the coach most likely to do the one thing everyone supposedly wants. |
Because Romeo Crennel is so much better.
|
What?!? Doesn't like ownership? What's wrong with being one of the bottom feeders in payroll over the last 3-4 years?
What's not to like with Kyle Orton or Matt Cassel as the guy to lead you to a SB. I don't get this at all. |
Careful what u wish for. Those were my exact words a couple months ago when clay started his crying about Haley getting the boot. Just like I said then, no one is going to want to come here. Terrible QB situation and a 2 year window until the GM who hired u gets fired also. Hello Mcdaniel. This is what u wanted go chiefs, eat it and smile.

not impressed with the QB situation or the ownership? Is Jeff Fisher a closet Chiefs fan? Does he post here? Because it seems like he sure would fit in fine with most of this forum.
|
You weren't exactly on our wishlist either, Jeff.

Feeling's mutual Jeff

I thought the deal was done

How reliable is Jack Harry?
|
Wow, sounds like they lowballed him or something.

yeah right. |

Fisher wants control over the roster.
He wouldn't get that here. |

2. Nothing about this implies any contact. If you're a long time coach in the NFL, you pretty much know about ownership situations and QB situations without really visiting the team. |

You realize Nick never reported he was coming here? |

Sounds to me like something the Chiefs did really pissed off Fisher. |

That's okay, I want a coach that in 16 years might have the capacity to help pick a decent starting QB...
|
I'm confused -- looks like Fisher thinks his stock is higher than it is. He's not Cowher, he's not going to get full say or to cherry-pick whatever job he wants. WTF?

IIRC Wright reported that Chiefs sources told him they had no interest in paying over $3mil/yr and that it would take at least $5mil to get Fisher.

They do? Where? |
Guys I want a coach whos 26-40 and can coach for about 3 years.

This basically means Crennel is our HC.
Are you guys happy with that? |

Look at what Pioli had done to this franchise. He's helped build a team around everything BUT a QB, and Jeff Fisher doesn't even want us.
|
Why did it come out the other day that Fisher said he wasn't going to talk with any team until after the season was over? I believe it said that on ESPN. Someone storying again?

Since when is Jack Harry the gospel....he's no more credible than any other local goof.
He's pining for Romeo to get the job so of course he's going to post stuff like this. Could he be right? Sure...so can anyone else that randomly throws stuff out there. I'm inclined to think he's going Athan on us. |
I wouldn't be surprised if some rhythmic slapping shower allegations we're on the horizon for Fisher's mustache and all.
|
No big loss folks.
|
Good. Maybe he'll end up in San Diego. I can live with San Diego only winning the division 4 or 5 times over the next 17 years.
