I'm looking at a job in Charlotte. You live near there? What's it like?

I live in Davidson it's a little north of Charlotte. The weather is great the people are nice as can be but traffic is a bitch. I would recommend looking a little north of Charlotte if I were you. It's still pretty rural up here. If you end up moving here send me a PM and we can start our own freaking Chiefs bar!

Don't worry Dart, I don't live in a trailer park so you would never see me unless your mom brought you with her when she was mowing my grass.

actually never met many fans of KC i didn't like - outside of Phobia, Pestilence, Bevischief, RockyMtnChief, nzoner, Dartgod, Grand 'L' or umm, Luv or clay or Mr. Flopnuts, or FDE, err GoBowe, lzen or even that OTWP, CrazyCoffey, TinyEvel, Mr Plow, never liked Buck, or that stupid blue hat, Guru, Sedated -PostRockGonzo, never really liked Papa Smurf or Bob Dole nor Monty, didn't even like Siberian Khatru, wasn't wild about DCS/RoR, Bearcat either.

In fact Motha **** most of you.

kidding, duh.

chefsos 12-24-2011 01:10 AM

I've never knowingly met another Chiefs fan in my entire life. Once in a while I see someone with an old jersey or jacket on but I'm pretty sure all of 'em got their stuff from the Goodwill store.

bevischief 12-24-2011 03:55 AM

My job would be near/in Pineville, so I'm looking in a semi-circle encompassing Gastonia to Monroe. Waxhaw looks rural enough for me.

They are fine but it's just a busy city 85/77 are the worst....

Try Concord or Kannapolis

Do not move anywhere near Gastonia. It's a shit house. Even the locals dog it.

Yeah 77 sucks. Raiders is right you need to look at Kannapolis or Concord. Davidson is really nice to but a little pricey for what you get. That's why I live in between Davidson and Kannapolis.

R8RFAN 12-24-2011 09:09 AM

If you are going to be working in Pineville, I suggest you get a place south of Charlotte Douglass and stay close to 485... that road is fairly new and multiple lanes...

During Rush times, I think Charlotte traffic is the worst, Raleigh is very busy but they do have the road system to support the traffic plus the I-440 loop is probably one of the best ideas ever in a large city..

Not the part of 485 south of Charlotte about the 29 mile marker on 85... thats as good as it gets in Charlotte man .... Now 485 @ Concord Mills sucks balls

Oh ok got ya. All I know is that I hear everyday on the radio how bad traffic on 485 is.

85 IS ALL JACKED UP.... from the 55 MM to about the 47 construction but the good news for most is they work at night but I have seen 5-6 mile backups at 11 pm
85 South is crap until you get to the 38 mile marker which is I77 be aware that people will cross 4 lanes and cut you off there at anytime of the day...
77 is bad from about I-40 thru Lake Norman to Charlotte

One drop of rain and you should expect a wreck somewhere and a backup

I'd love for you to be there with me when we kick your ass.

Mosbonian 12-24-2011 09:47 AM

I'm not sure why anyone would want to live in Concord or Kannapolis....while Kannapolis is trying to revive itself after the close of Cannon Mills by putting a Tech Center there, I would never want to live there. Cute place to visit with the Village there, but not somewhere I would want to live.

Concord is a crazy place to live because of two things......Lowes Motor Speedway and Concord Mills Mall. If you live in Concord (kinda depending on where in Concord) you can forget being able to get anywhere or eat anywhere during race weeks or around Christmas.

I don't know who suggested that you live south of Charlotte, but that makes the most sense. If you live in SC there are some taxes that you don't have to worry about in NC-Charlotte area.

When I lived in Charlotte I tried to find a sports bar or group that watched the Chiefs....was never one in the area, but there were a couple in the Raleigh area.

You live about 60 miles north of Charlotte and you're giving him crap? Depending on just how much north you shouldn't be talking sh** about trailer parks. I've seen what is up in Love Valley, Olin and Harmony....

Dude... Don't you even try to compare any place in NC with the number of trailer parks in the KC Area LMAO

See...you are making some bad assumptions. I don't live in KC anymore and haven't since 1995.

But I have lived in the NC area that you are talking about, and I know enough having traveled that area extensively that there ARE more trailers in NC than in KC.

You know what I meant....hell, pick the area around Statesville NC (a city 1/10the the size of KC) and compare trailers/trailer parks. It's not even a contest when you look at the number of trailers compared to the size of the city.
