A three post!Q

The only two games that were affected by the 4th place finish were the Bills and Colts games.

@ Tampa?
PBJ |
That schedule looks pretty tough.

8-8 if we stand pat
10-6 with improved O-Line and QB |
Thats a pretty tough schedule lol
|
Go away Bills!!!! Seems like the 15th year in a row we've played them
|
Only the second time in 28579018578901571089 years that the Chiefs will play in Pittsburgh.

The schedule screams Matt Barkley with the 1st pick of the 2013 NFl Draft for the Chiefs.

I miss playing the Bengals. We played them for 5 straight years and now we're going to be Bengal-less for a 3rd straight. I has a sad.

We play the Bengals next year. We play the entire AFC North.

Sweet.
Colts, steelers, bills. Havent played those teams in a while... Sent from my MB612 using Tapatalk |
Not fair, Indy will have a Qb next year.

So...8-8 takes the division again? Or 9-7/10-6?

I'd rather have the 3rd place schedule. Jaguars and Dolphins look much more appealing than the Manning/Luck led Colts and Bills.

We get the Steelers, Bills and Colts again?
|
On the bright side I get to add 3 more teams to the list that I have not seen in person - Colts, Falcons, and Panthers. That will put my total up to 28 teams with the Patriots, Jets, Lions and Redskins remaining.

For the Chiefs with orton and an added nose tackle, I would say 4-2 in the division.
1-3 against the afc north 2-2 against the nfc south. And wins against bills and indy no matter the qb situation. It really is too early to tell though. Posted via Mobile Device |

It's actually conceivable to play a given team in another AFC division every year if the cookies crumble just right. |
Oh lord, Falcons at Chiefs - http://tinyurl.com/6xl2zan
|
All games are winnable except for Saints and Steelers. Assuming we fix the QB problem.

what's over/under of when Cassel will be injured before facing difficult competition again
|
I feel pretty good about that schedule. Even with Cassell or Orton under center, we'll be a lot better with Charles, Berry and Moeaki all back. As Fritz88 just said, they all look winnable except the Saints and Steelers - and we did just beat the best team in football, so . . . maybe?
That looks like a 10-6 schedule to me. |

When do they decide on the dates of the games? Tampa sounds like a great vacation.

When the schedule came out last year, I thought we'd be 8-8 WITH Berry, Charles, Moaki.
I'm going to say the same thing with the tunnel vision that is our current roster. |
19-0. Oh wait, Cassel is our quarterback?
0-16. |

Wow, another tough schedule. You ought to check out the Patriots schedule, they are the luckiest franchise in the league, yet again! No way they lose more than 4 games, perhaps as few as 2.
The Chiefs need significant upgrades at QB, DL, OL. I say draft a guard at #1, the best one in the draft that I've read is a sure pro bowler so we can truly run inside as well as outside. Then get a right tackle with #2, sign Orton, take a QB in the 3rd ( there are 10 possibles all better than Cassel lol), trade Dorsey for a 3rd at least, draft a replacement for Battle and Belcher, sign Bowe and Carr, take Crennel (reluctantly), if Turner is avail pay him for OC with promise to promote to HC (but cross your fingers behind your back), fire special teams coach. |

There's not really an easy schedule out there for any AFCW team... if any team can hit 10 wins, they'll be set up well for doing damage in the playoffs. That's a tall order though right now as each team has a laundry list of issues to fix.
|
Our Chiefs fan group in Tampa will be organizing the best tailgate ever seen in the Bucs parking lot. We will also be getting seats together as a group of Chief fans.
Our Arrowhead South Chiefs fan group on Meetup is here: http://www.meetup.com/Tampa-Area-Chief-Fans/ |
My goal this coming season is to make the drive from Indy to KC at least once to see a game, preferably when the Raiders are in town. I trust there will be some tailgate I could invade while I'm there?

Hooray, the "tough schedule" bullshit has begun once again...oh joy!!!
|
Take out the divisional games and here are the main differences in the opponents. Not really much difference... the Broncos do pick up what appear to be the 2 tougher opponents, but that's what winning the division brings.
Colts - who knows what they'll be like, but if Manning is back and healthy, it won't be easy. The Bills - they may look a lot different. Titans, Jets, Jags & Dolphins... none of them really sucks (Jags are the least daunting of the group. But, in 2012 - the opponents are all fairly equal, so the schedule shouldn't be an excuse for anyone. The scheduling for when the away games are played will be critical... Chiefs Home: Ravens, Bengals, Colts, Falcons, Panthers Away: Browns, Steelers, Bills, Saints, Buccaneers Broncos Home: Browns, Steelers, Texans, Saints, Buccaneers Away: Ravens, Bengals, Patriots, Falcons, Panthers Chargers Home: Ravens, Bengals, Titans, Falcons, Panthers Away: Browns, Steelers, Jets, Saints, Buccaneers Raiders Home: Browns, Steelers, Jaguars, Saints, Buccaneers Away: Ravens, Bengals, Dolphins, Falcons, Panthers |
