Titty Meat 01-03-2012 01:08 PM

He sucks

MoreLemonPledge 01-03-2012 01:09 PM

**** and no.

Bowser 01-03-2012 01:10 PM

Differences as in Cutler wasn't ready to die on the field.

Mojo Jojo 01-03-2012 01:15 PM

On the same day they fired the GM...

HemiEd 01-03-2012 01:17 PM

I sure hope he doesn't come to KC, but he is from a different tree so hopefully he won't.

gblowfish 01-03-2012 01:23 PM

Mike Martz is the Wyle E. Coyote of the NFL.

Warrior5 01-03-2012 01:25 PM

Don't anyone even say it...

Micjones 01-03-2012 01:26 PM

Martz seems to be far too aggressive for Crennel's liking.

RustShack 01-03-2012 01:26 PM

I'd take him in KC. He would have a heyday with our WR's. But then again he doesn't like to use TE's and Moeaki should be a pretty good one too. But I'm assuming he wont like Cassel and that would lead to problems with Pioli and there would be a clash because Cassel doesn't have the arm for Martz attack.

HonestChieffan 01-03-2012 01:31 PM

God what a nightmare. FU Martz

listopencil 01-03-2012 01:37 PM

Hmmm...John Fox as Head Coach and Mike Martz as OC of the Broncos when McCoy leaves.

Tebow in the Martz Offense? That's gold, Jerry, gold.

It would certainly make year entertaining as a Bronco fan. Hell, I think everybody would get a kick out of it.

I would LMAO if that happened. A pass happy offense and Tebow. Our secondary salivates at the prospect of it all.

Its official.

Bane 01-03-2012 01:50 PM

He never was shit anyway.Single handedly destroyed a SB champion team.

Hammock Parties 01-03-2012 02:02 PM

Sign that sonofabitch ASAP.

He's gold with QBs.

Okie_Apparition 01-03-2012 02:12 PM

I thought he had to get down on his knees & beg for a job, any job
I even think Al Davis spurned his advances

blaise 01-03-2012 02:13 PM

Yeah, they philosophically told him to resign.

tk13 01-03-2012 02:15 PM

He can certainly find QBs... of course once he gets them in there he doesnt protect them at all and usually gets them killed, but that's a minor detail.

Martz can show Trent Green the coaching ropes.

BossChief 01-03-2012 02:20 PM

I'm kinda surprised that it's close to unanimous that nobody wants Martz.

If Romeo is given the HC job, Martz wouldn't be a horrible hire as OC.

Okie_Apparition 01-03-2012 02:24 PM

Lovie Smith must have some Del rio mojo

seaofred 01-03-2012 02:25 PM

If Martz would you Jamaal like he used Faulk... Could be very interesting.

I couldn't disagree more. He has been fail, miserable fail since 99.

He had a good year in 99 with Kurt Warner and Dick Vermeil with HOF WRs and RB.

I still give the credit to DV and Kurt Warner for that success.

Here in Chicago, Cutler had to adapt to survive, but not many have the talent to do that.

ChiTown 01-03-2012 02:30 PM

Bring him in for a look?

What about when he made Jon Kitna look like a star? Bulger didn't look bad under him either, or Warner. I feel like hes developed more QB's and offenses than hes ruined.

I may be jaded by this type of media on Martz.

He has been under severe fire, in some kind of controversy at all of his recent stops. Detroit, San Francisco, and now here in Chicago. In fact that was a light sampling, it was pretty strong for a while until Cutler developed wings on his feet.

So if he is going to bring that kind of baggage, what do you get in return? I just don't see the upside.

Bump 01-03-2012 03:56 PM

this guy got WAY too much credit for the greatest show on turf. 2 bonafide hall of fame players and 2 maybe's. It wasn't him.

or 3 HOF players, forgot about Pace

Demonpenz 01-03-2012 04:32 PM

Martz at arrowhead? The greatest show on Dirt

Faulk was awesome at wide reciever and running back. Jamaal can't spell Wide Receever.

Skyy God 01-03-2012 04:43 PM

Those philosophical differences being he was about to get shitcanned.

I wouldnt put Charles on Faulks level as a receiver, but he's proven to be very Faulk-like at times... adjusting to wild throws, catching with his hands... he's definitely a cut above most backs in the receiving department.

As far as the whole Martz thing though, as good as he can be at designing a passing game... we dont need that guy, head coaches have to put a gun to his head to make him run the ball.

That’s what I’ll always remember him for, going 5 wide/empty backfield way too often and getting his quarter backs nearly kilt.

See, now that is the only real upside I see to them bringing him here.

RealSNR 01-03-2012 05:05 PM

Guys lets just bring him in for a look and if he isnt good we'll just cut him whats the harm in that srsly i like jack off cows

Crush 01-03-2012 05:07 PM

Cassel would literally piss his pants in the Martz offense.

yep ... Martz just couldn't stand not sending 5 WR out in a pattern and getting his QB hit on every dam play.

want no part of him

whoman69 01-03-2012 05:56 PM

Anyone who runs Marshall Faulk 9 times in the Super Bowl, I want no part of. He's too much of a genious for the NFL.

FloridaMan88 01-03-2012 06:01 PM

Martz owes his career to Dick Vermeil.

Infidel Goat 01-03-2012 06:36 PM

Those who give credit to Dick Vermeil over Mike Martz for the Greatest Show on Turf are simply wrong. I lived in St. Louis at the time, and Martz (and Saunders in KC) deserve(s) the offensive credit for those squads. Vermeil was about to be run out of town until the offense came alive under Martz.

I have nothing against Vermeil, but Martz was the mind behind that offense. It helps that he had some good toys. We have some toys in KC right now, so I wouldn't be against Martz if we upgrade at QB and RT...

'Hamas' Jenkins 01-03-2012 06:44 PM

He's a glorified QB coach. He should never have the playcaller's sheet, but the guy is damned good with QBs.

Since 99 huh? I remember him taking a team to the Bowl in 2001.
