More fighting at sporting events
Add another fight at sporting events to the list. It makes me sick that this shit happens. I love sports as much as the next guy but what is it with guys not being able to take some smack talk from someone else?

The graphic video shows three suspects wearing Philadelphia Flyers jerseys beating and kicking the two victims outside Geno's Steaks in South Philly at 7:15 p.m. ET. More From ESPNNewYork.com Rangers. Islanders. Devils. If you want hockey information, ESPNNewYork.com has you covered. Blog One of the victims was an off-duty Woodbridge, N.J., police officer, according to Woodbridge Township spokesman John Hagerty. Hagerty confirmed to ESPNNewYork.com that the police officer, who is currently on medical leave until cleared to return to active duty, has been released from the hospital. "He's in fine condition," Hagerty told ESPNNewYork.com. "He's resting and doing well." Hagerty said the "investigation by the Philadelphia Police Department is ongoing," and that the Woodbridge Police Department has offered its assistance in the matter. A Flyers-geared hockey website also has provided some help in identifying at least one of the suspects. According to the website, Broad Street Hockey, one of the suspects identified himself on the site's Facebook fan page and admitted he took part in the attack, but then backtracked. A source told ESPNNewYork.com that he later denied his involvement to police but will be interviewed Thursday. Police are seeking assistance in identifying the three men and are asking anyone with information to call the Philadelphia Police South Detective Division. |
Meh, that didn't look too bad.
And honestly a cop should know better than to go to South Philly decked out in NY Rangers gear after a game. |

Sniff.

It's stupid to fight over a game, but it's not wise to go to a Flyer game in Rangers gear, or Buffalo or NJ gear for that matter.

If you go into enemy territory, be prepared to get harassed like a MF'r, and rightfully so. I've been to plenty of away games for both college and professional sporting events, and I just roll with it. However, once it goes from harassment to physical, it just boggles the mind. We must be talking about some of the weakest minded MF'rs in the world. Seriously, chill. And yes, Saul, I agree. Alcohol and/or drugs are probably the biggest issues with many of these physical altercations |
Whaddya gonna do? so dey chrew does mooks a beatin', so wha!
|
I have no problem physically assualting raider or donk fan...other then that its pretty lame to fight over sports

Because I guess I have never associated Fresno State as being some powerhouse football program with tons of shit talking fans. And oh yea, they play in the WAC. |
Another thing that is sickening is the people that are they that do not try and break it up. I understand that sometimes the situation doesn't allow you to, but still people need to try and stop nonsense like that.

Same shit goes down at Cool Crest after Chiefs losses.

Wouldn't it be cool if one of the assailants was an off-duty Philly cop?

Dude, it had nothing to do with their tradition. It was the class, or lack thereof, of fan that represents that fan base. Total ****ing scumbags. Period. |

Just funny that they would have a ton to say, that is all. But you are right, for these dumbass fans it isn't about what their program stands for or the tradition they have developed. Sorry your wife and kids had to go through that. |
Musta been a Monday. Nobody likes a Monday.
