CP Vegas Trip 2012
 

March 14th thru the 19th are my dates,March Madness and Saint Paddy's Day included and Senator Bob Dole will be joining me and two of my friends.

So if you're going to be there let us know and maybe we can have a little CP get together with lots of drinks. :toast:

Man I'd love to, but planning an October trip again.

I'll be in Vegas for the tourney for the first weekend. Might be able to swing a meet-up.

I turned down a 3 day to Vegas this past weekend. Just because it was Vegas...

Wow,if I was independently wealthy I would stay there from NFL opening day thru the Super Bowl and then back again for March Madness.

I was thinking of a spring trip to Vegas. Might be around this time. Is Patty's Day in Vegas something special? (Besides it being Vegas)

From personal experience I can tell you that O'Sheas is a blast.

I live in LA. Every bar here has midgets on Patty's Day. It might be a law. Not sure.

Actually, I usually through a party at home complete with Irish food and about 3 gallons of whiskey. I don't think I've ever tried to go out. Might poll my friends and see if anyone feels like doing it up this year.

I'm 1/2 Irish but I enjoy the holiday as though I'm 100%

Been to Vegas two other times during St Pats and March Madness together and imo it's :thumb: college hoops starting at 9 a.m. and it's on from there.

Oh and btw St Pats is on a Saturday this year.

Wow, I bet the Vegas festivities will be twice as crazy, then. More expensive to stay, though. I was shooting for a weekday to save some coin. I guess it's go big or go (stay) home.

I got a very sweet deal from Harrah's based on my tier score,6 nights at The Rio for a total of $67 including tax.

The flights are brutal

Mine was free from 54th Street Bar and Grill due to me winning a football challenge they sponsored.

My trip includes 48 basketball games and plenty of drinking and gambling,if I'm getting focked it's on my basketball bets :D

Thankfully I can get a deal like that because when in Vegas I'm in room long enough for a shit,shower,shave and maybe 2 hours rest

i was in Vegas on a St. Patties day several years ago. it was nucking futz!!!! the sights and sounds and smells were just intensified. course it may have been all that green beer that we drank all day.

I stayed at the Wynn last year and it was so nice that I didn't even bother going anywhere else to see what they were like.

I was in College Basketball nirvana.

Nowhere near Vegas, "the Ranch" is in Reno. Plenty of action in Vegas won't cost as near as much dime. Time and Place are the key.

BTW,Matt my fireworks rep in Columbia will now be joining us tomorrow night thru Sunday morning.SW wanted to give him the 7:25 a.m. flight out of Vegas but after a little coaxing(I explained to the lady that it was the morning after St Pats and March Madness) she said for an upcharge of $4 he could get the 12:15 instead,needless to say he was quite happy.

We're at the Flamingo in one of their GO Rooms,always stay with Harrah's owned properties because their comp program imo is 2nd to none.The Flamingo is also right across from my favorite little dive O'Sheas.

I got in Tuesday afternoon and just got out of bed an hour ago but still feeling the lingering effects of The Vegas Flu.

The Mizzou game was a kick in the balls but at least I did bet on Norfolk +21.5 and had the over at 145,also turned around on Sunday and bet Florida to beat Norfolk by 14.5.I was also playing a $1 slot and hit two double 7's and a 7 for the payout shown below...

I would also like to report that we met up with Carlota (thanks again dear for ALL your hospitality) and that Bob Dole is a video poker playing fanatic even moreso than me and I did not think that was possible.

Lastly I found out just how far Bob Dole would go for an In and Out Burger :)

It's not a great story by any means but NEVER trust a gps in Vegas when it tells you you're only an 8th of a mile walking distance from anything.

The plane ride home had me wondering if I would,worst turbulence I've ever encountered,the captain even had the attendants buckled in for almost the entire trip.Props to him though,it was hella bumpy but he got the bird safely on the ground.

Vegas Flu sounds a step under AIDS.

This Vegas Flu was brought on by doing an all-nighter on St Pats stopping in the early a.m. for a few cups of coffee and then hitting cadillac margaritas by 10:30 a.m. and being so trashed by 1:30 p.m. that the Vegas Flu put my ass to bed.

Ohhhh, in other words the vegas flu is a byproduct of a great night in Vegas.

Yeah, I've had that a time or two. Took about 2 weeks back to get over it.

I got back early Tuesday and am still foggy and drinking water but damn what a good time we had.

Don't you wish you could pay the price before you go and just get it out of the way?

If only.

My biggest problem in Vegas is I just can't go to bed and rest until my body says fock you you're going down to whereas Dole could grab an hour or two here and there with no problem and feel like a rockstar. :banghead:
