I cannot vote for David Spade. I seriously can't stand the guy.

I'm voting a straight ticket for small, slightly built male comedians.

1. Carvey. He should be a contender to win it all.
2. Spade. Great at snide.
3. Schneider. Another small funny guy.
4. Kattan. Monkey boy.

I didn't recall this round being this weak when I made it. All based on seeding from the previous round. Chase was on the show for one year after which he went for the gold. That said, I love the three amigos. He did get a lot of visibility in the early shows because many started with his Gerald Ford pratfalls. He was the one to start the show with the now standard, "Live from New York, Its Saturday Night."

Carvey just had so many characters, he is the obvious class of this round.

Glad to see Jane Curtin doing well. She and Radner were a great pair, a female duo we haven't seen the likes of on the show until the last decade or so.

Looks like we have a pretty solid 4, but keep voting as those not making it will be put in the winback based upon performance.

IMO if you did this poll before community, Chase wouldn't get anywhere near this support especially in the 15 years since his aborted (and it was an abortion of a show) talk show.

Dana Carvey = one of if not the best ever.

Zebedee DuBois 02-22-2012 06:45 PM

I voted for the senator from Minnesota. I found him bizarrely funny. (not so much, now)

I remember when he wanted to follow the me decade with the Al Franken decade, so that instead of asking what you could do for yourself, "you'd ask what you can do for me, Al Franken." Hilarious. But he was known more as a writer than for the skits he was in.
