Ouch. Touch choices this time around.

Aykroyd
Carvey
Myers
Sandler

It was hard to NOT vote for the rest.

Rain Man 02-24-2012 10:15 AM

Carvey, Myers, Fey, Spade.

I got you in Heat 1, though. Next heat is the tiebreaker.

Fey over Farley???? I just can't understand this even a little bit.

She's funny. Farley's funny, too, but Fey brought a more intellectual humor that I liked. I can see Farley as a vote, though, and have no problem if he advances.

I just don't remember Fey being on anything more than Weekend Update and Sarah Palin sketches. She was head writer but I don't count that as her work as a cast member. I do like Tina Fey and think she's funny but Farley is an SNL icon. To each their own, though.

Have to say I'm real disappointed at Darrell Hammond's showing.

Wow no love for David Spade. That guy was great on SNL.

That guy couldn't get laid in a monkey whore house with a bag full of bananas.

My guess is that he didn't make it in film. His most popular success since has been in TV. He was also low on the totem pole on a very talented cast. He was never the biggest star of that group.

Joe Dirt was solid.

That's his biggest hit as a star. That doesn't even come close to the least popular Sandler films. Emporer's New Groove was great, but it was a disney cartoon. He was 2nd fiddle in the benchwarmers, 2nd in Grown Ups (not that it was well taken anyway), and Dickie Roberts?

Rain Man 02-24-2012 03:02 PM

Spade was great in Just Shoot Me.

I thought he was only OK. I can't think of many classic sketches he was a major part of other than his Weekend Update segment. I know he was one of the kids in the first Matt Foley sketch. That's about all I got.

I voted for him a couple times early on, but at this point there are too many great names left and only four votes. Same with Hammond. Great cast member, but he doesn't stand up tp the competition.

Yeah, I agree. I didn't vote for him. That movie just popped into my mind.

The winback is going to be a bitch. Only 2 slots will be open.

whoman69 02-24-2012 07:57 PM

Tie right now for the last spot.

whoman69 02-24-2012 08:50 PM

This is going to take us down to 10 once we finish this round. How many should qualify for the finals? Would everyone prefer 3 or 5?

Phobia 02-24-2012 09:02 PM

Who is the idiot who didn't vote for Farley?

whoman69 02-25-2012 10:29 AM

Moving on are:

Dan Aykroyd
Dana Carvey
Chris Farley
Mike Myers
