Earlier this week, the Chiefs signed cornerback Stanford Routt, who had been cut less than two weeks earlier by the Raiders. Today, the Chiefs added cornerback Jacques Reeves, who last played in the NFL in 2009.

After four seasons with the Cowboys, Reeves joined the Texans via free agency. In 2008, he started all 16 games. The following year, a broken leg limited him to 12 games and five starts.

The Texans cut Reeves after the 2010 preseason. He has since not played in the NFL

Don't these services use editors? I take it you got this from NFL network's website? Assume this is supposed to be five, not give.

Is he going to be the defender when Casshole throws during the competition for his job?

Chiefs signed CB Jacques Reeves, formerly of the Texans.
Reeves, 29, is trying to make a comeback after spending the last two seasons out of football. One of the NFL's worst cornerbacks after the Texans signed him to a five-year, $20 million deal in 2008, Reeves drew little to no interest during his time away. He'll battle for a roster spot with Jalil Brown behind Brandon Flowers, Stanford Routt, slot cornerback Javier Arenas.

fodder.

Micjones 02-24-2012 05:56 PM

He sucked when he was playing.
I figure he'll be employed for about 3-4 months.

Brock 02-24-2012 05:58 PM

Competition, baby.

bevischief 02-24-2012 06:00 PM

How much did he cost and how long?

I know a Cowboys fan here. If he were the owner, he'd trade Romo straight up for Cassel.

I don't know if it's true that everything is bigger in Texas, but it is apparently true for dumbasses.

O.city 02-24-2012 09:00 PM

I would take Romo in a heartbeat over Cassel.
