49ers reached agreement on a one-year deal with wide receiver Randy Moss.

Sweet. Good to see him back.

The Franchise 03-12-2012 07:36 PM

That should help them out a LOT.

stonedstooge 03-12-2012 07:36 PM

He sure was fun to watch when he got it going. Wonder if he still can?

Wallcrawler 03-12-2012 07:37 PM

Cant believe Harbaugh would even waste his time on this douche.

HoneyBadger 03-12-2012 08:46 PM

He's the missing piece to their super bowl quest.

Viper400 03-13-2012 10:07 AM

He'll be released by week 5.

Waste his time on the 2nd greatest receiver of all time? Add to the fact that Moss signed a contract that makes him an easy cut, this is a very good deal for the 49ers.

I doubt it.

vailpass 03-13-2012 10:10 AM

If Moss still has it and if Harbaugh can put a harness on Moss and make him plow a straight line this is going to be a VERY good addition for the 9ers.

Unnngh yeah I hate hall of fame receivers who care too much about winning.

Bump 03-13-2012 10:52 AM

Randy Moss, the only WR that could have ever rivaled Jerry Rices stats, but he's too stupid. Brains > brawn

Deberg_1990 03-13-2012 11:22 AM

Can't believer the Niners used such a high pick on Crabtree.

Was thinking the same thing. Seems to me that things have changed and it is very rarely worth it to use a top draft pick on a WR or RB.

he was a no brainer coming out of college. One of the best WR prospects in recent memory, not quite as high of a prospect as megatron or Blackmon, but he tore it up in college. But he's a dumbass and a bust pretty much.

You can't base everything on college production alone. Scouts have to be able to project. There were better WRs selected way after him.

This is one of those instances where stats dont tell the story.

Why would you waste your time on a guy, who if the going gets even a little bit rough, he ****ing gives up on you? Everybody wants to win.

This guy is a douchebag. I hope he never gets a ring.

It is my greatest hope that some hard charging safety puts his lights out on one of those slant patterns over the middle and we no longer see or hear anything about Randy "I play when I wanna play" Moss.

Crabtree was an interesting case.

In college he was a monster. Then the combine rolls around and you find out he's 6'1 vs 6'3 (think he was listed that at TT) and not as fast as we all thought.

Shorter & slower & bad QB play in the NFL hasn't done him any favors.

Chiefnj2 03-13-2012 12:48 PM

Low risk, medium reward. Good signing.

KC should have brought him in. If he can still fly, as per reports, the Chiefs could have used him to stretch the field. Hell he caught 11 TDs from Cassel. Even if he could only grab 5 this year, it would have been a good pickup.

Demonpenz 03-13-2012 12:52 PM

Could just see him in the Red and Gold!
holthes:Well it all comes down to this....Cassel the great rolls out. Oh The CB falls down. The hands up to Randy! HE'S OPEN ON THE POST! Here comes the Bomb!!!!! ohhh the ball falls 40 yards short and the chiefs loose 30-0
