He would fit in with Pioli's style. Wants to go to the CIA or somethign.

If we sign BGE I will laugh my ass off when he fumbles in the first game. He would be a great signing though.

KCUnited 03-13-2012 06:01 PM

That's the Peyton Clark was talking about.

O.city 03-13-2012 06:02 PM

Not real excited about this, but I think alot of guys would have quit if they played for hte Browns.

Eh its just a visit. if hes really a head case then it should come across in the interview.. then again it is pioli...

O.city 03-13-2012 06:03 PM

I guess I'm the only one that actually wouldn't mind this.

Fritz88 03-13-2012 06:03 PM

Will be a good pick up. Only problem is, he's asking for too much.

NJChiefsFan 03-13-2012 06:04 PM

I agree with last two posts. If he asks for the right $ and we get him motivated he would be a great 2nd RB IMO.

He quit and faked injuries last year.

Him and Charles would pair alright together.

If he can stay healthy, he could help our short yardage blues.

I could live with any of those 4, assuming KC trusts they can get full effort out of Hillis.

Jesus Christ, do you really think this guy can pass a ****ing drug test? I sure as hell don't.

Don't know if that has improved, but if so he'd be a perfect compliment to JC.

Why?

ShowtimeSBMVP 03-13-2012 06:12 PM

Peyton Hillis’s new home could be in Kansas City.

Hillis, the free agent Browns running back, will pay a visit to the Chiefs, Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Although he was one of the NFL’s biggest disappointments in 2011, Hillis has shown flashes of talent, especially in 2010 when he had 270 carries for 1,177 yards, added 61 catches for 477 yards, and scored 13 touchdowns. The Chiefs could have themselves a good running attack if they could pair a healthy Hillis with a healthy Jamaal Charles in their backfield.

Hillis checks in at No. 39 on our Free Agent Hot 100.

#Browns RB Peyton Hillis could sign a short-term deal with another team in the next day or so, nflnetwork's mike lombardi reports

TheGuardian 03-13-2012 06:13 PM

I personally would like this signing IF his head is on straight.

He's a load of a back. I think he's better than Bush personally, when healthy.

Mr. Flopnuts 03-13-2012 06:14 PM

He'll sign here. The Daboll hire gave him a stiffy I'm sure.

KurtCobain 03-13-2012 06:14 PM

He'll sign here because he's probably been told we're looking to run the ball 800 times next year.

This regime still thinks you can win with a running game and no QB.

He's pretty salty. He probably has a chip on his shoulder and could give us the power back, we've been needing to compliment Charles. I think he's got some good years left in the tank.

Strongside 03-13-2012 06:19 PM

I'd like this signing. When he's healthy, this guy is a bruiser. He and Daboll worked great together.

Peyton Hillis is as close to a lock in Kansas City as it gets, especially with Brian Daboll (his former OC in Cleveland) as the OC.

I think Hillis and Charles would be the best one, two punch in the NFL.

lostcause 03-13-2012 06:22 PM

wtf? He was on the cover of madden last year, bring him in.

Chiefaholic 03-13-2012 06:24 PM

BTW... I'd guess Hillis wouldn't mind an opportunity to stick it to Denver twice a year.

Okie_Apparition 03-13-2012 06:25 PM

Jones & McClain are both gone
can Peyton or BJGE be the emergency QB

They are keeping Cassel at starter. They're going to try and surround him with enough players to convince us it's a good idea.

I was just thinking the same thing.

BossChief 03-13-2012 06:31 PM

If we can find a way to get HILLIS, SOLIAI and WINSTON all signed, it would totally open up the draft.

Hills is gonna be somewhat cheap, so he will be a good fit.

I doubt the other two are signed.

Fine. I'm 100% fine with that.

If we don't get a Manning or RG3, then what's the point? Kyle Orton would only postpone the inevitable.

If they spend this free agency, surrounding Cassel with more talent than any Chiefs QB ever had, and he fails...they HAVE to draft a QB in the 1st.

The toothpaste is out of the tube. There ain't no putting it back.

The issue is rational thought vs. Chiefs thought. Thats the reason a lot of Chiefs fans don't believe things. Its not denial, its the issue of thinking too rationally.

MeatRock 03-13-2012 06:35 PM

If Hillis signs then that means no to Trent Richardson. I honestly can't see Pioli drafting Tannehill, so what the hell do we do with our #1 pick? Hightower?

Poe if he's there. If Winston isn't here, or another FA OT, then best OT.

I think this would be a really poor selection. Too much talk about whether or not he'll stick at tackle. If that's the case, just cut the bullshit and take the elite guard. I know, I know...

I could also see us going CB, if our new dirty Rutt could transition to safety. In fact, CB would present the most overall value in our slot, though we'd have to take a chance on a player with some character concerns.

This is very true.

Or you could move Routt to safety, sit tight in the draft round 1 take BPA and take Kirkpatrick in the second round. From what i've seen and heard he sounds somewhat like Carr.
