Attention Parents
 

In light of several news articles in the last 6 months I feel it necessary to say something. If your child (7ish-17) acts out in any way that requires a school or the general public to call the police and the police deem it necessary to put handcuffs on your child, THAT IS NOT THE FAULT OF THE POLICE!! Be a good god damned parent and make sure your kids don't act like complete brats and throw temper tantrums that in turn hurt other people. It is not the job of the police to correct your child only to take custody so they stop unwanted behavior. Don't like that? Change the law, write your congressman or beat the shit out of your kid (In a humane and PC manner that will not cause bruising or severe physical injury but gets the point across) when they act out!

Hooray for hitting kids where the bruises aren't visible! :D I'm just ribbing you, but there's some truth to it.

I rarely acted out. There were consequences, and all of them sucked far more than a bruise on my ass. Spanking = lazy discipline. If your parent knows you and knows your personality, they can tailor a punishment far more irritating and life altering. :#

Parents today simply don't discipline at all. I hate the idea that spanking is the the best or only viable discipline. Some people are really hung up on it though.
