That's the only NFL contract in the top ten?

Without guaranteed contracts, it's hard for NFL players to make the list.
That's how bad Matt Cassel is. :doh!: |

And yet there are still STH who drive hundreds of miles and pay thousand$ to watch this BS "in person". Clark and Scott appreciate your money.

That list is so far off its not funny.
Barry Zito's contract isn't mentioned ****ing Mark Sanchez's contract is worse than Cassel's at this point, its his second one. Sanchez is so good they traded for Tebow to liven up the offense FFS. |

I remember Mecca championing Adam Dunn for the Royals.

If Pujols doesn't start doing something he will be on that list soon.

Sadly, for both, there are late round QBs who are better (Stanzi and Skelton) who will not see the field because of the investment made in Cassel and Kolb. |
I'm not sure how Carl Crawford, Joe Johnson, and Ryan Howard didn't make the list ahead of Castle. I think Castle's deal is ****ing terrible but it pales in comparison with how bad any of these guy's deals are. I mean the reason Castle's deal sucks is because he was just mediocre enough that we never did anything to get out from under it. We had ample opportunity to not pay him, those guys are all going to make $100M+ to be a Mark Castle.

The Kolb contract was backloaded and had an escape clause. The Cardinals stupidly failed to exercise it, but the contract itself gave them far more wiggle room. The Cassel contract, OTOH, being a frontloaded monstrosity that had its roster bonus in an awkward 'in-between' spot, is just an absolute abortion of a contract. It was a trainwreck from the second it was signed. Very few of us could ever make a decision that costs our boss anywhere near the money that Scott Pioli made with that Cassel deal and still keep his job. Yet there he sits, still evidently beyond all reproach. |
I know a lot of you like to crack on Pioli but the grounds have never looked better.
|
A lot of idiots screamed for the Royals to sign Adam Dunn.

Cassel is just a bad QB being paid like an average one because the team has no other options. |
#1. The Kansas City Royals roster
