I've been ease dropping listening to a guy who walked into the office and he's trying to sell an Accusta Max. What's it worth? Anybody? It's a Bose.

Wut? It's accoustimass.

Ask the police what the value was placed at by the guy who reported it stolen. Then offer this guy one-tenth of that.

Is "ease dropping" in the Lexicon, like "mute point" and "mind bottling"? It's hard to keep up sometimes.

$500.00 He had a catalog showing a MSPR of $4,600.00. I didn't look close but at it but they had what appeared to be the same think at Sears for 400and something. At one point the fool started talking about doing shots of Starbucks......I grew tired of him in about 1/2 second.

Accousta Max? Is that a condom that uses sound waves?

Depends which one it was, even if it were top notch one working. 25 to 50 bucks. Bose is crap for the money.

I have an Acoustimass system and I like it well enough but I'd never buy a set new. Definitely better stuff out there for the money.

Bose is literally the worst brand speakers you can buy. You can actually spend less and get something that sounds considerably better. They're like the Monster cable of speakers.

Times change I reckon. I remember Bose making good speakers way back when. I had a pair of Bose 201s that were awsome.

All the audio snobs hate Bose. As I mentioned they're not worth the money but saying they're the worst speakers out there is ****ing absurd.

The hifi crowd has to be the most gullible bunch out there.

Their loudspeakers used to be good. Their surround systems are terrible. The acoustimass bass module reproduces sound below 202 Hz. The satellites reproduce sound above 280 Hz. That leaves a giant gap in the 200-280 Hz range that the speakers aren't capable of producing. And the bass response is poor. You can't do head to head comparisons with other manufacturers because Bose doesn't publish specs on any of their systems anywhere.

Bose is 99.9999999999% marketing genious and 0.0000000001% performance.....

I like my Bose computer speakers a lot :(
