Assuming the draft fell like this.....give me your 7 round mock.
http://www.walterfootball.com/draft2012.php
Walter has his 7 rounds out. Put your 7 round mock up for everyone to see. Rules are obvious....you can't take a player who is gone before our pick. Don't include trades either. His current Chiefs mock. 1. David Decastro, OG, Stanford 2. Brandon Weeden, QB, Oklahoma State 3. Josh Chapman, NT, Alabama 4. Ryan Steed, CB, Furman 5. Bruce Irvin, DE/OLB, West Virginia 6. Christian Thompson, S, South Carolina State 7. Andrew Datko, OT, Florida State 7. Jordan White, WR, Western Michiga |
I like it a lot but I think Bruce Irvin will be taken in the third.
|
1. Dre Kirkpatrick
2. Mike Adams 3. Josh Chapman 4. George Iloka 5. Vick Ballard 6. David Molk 7. Vontaze Burfict (think he is scum but potential is worth a 7th) 7. James Rodgers :p |
1st Brockers DT/DE LSU
2nd Adams OT OSU 3rd Taylor S LSU 4th Prater CB Iowa 5th Wilson QB Wisconsin 6th Molk C Michigan 7th Burficit ILB ASU 7th Moss WR South Dakota State |

1. OL DeCastro, Stanford
2. DE Reyes, CT 3. S Taylor, LSU 4. WR Jones, Cal 5. OT Mosley, Auburn 6. NT Baptiste, Baylor 7. RB Brown, KSU 7. QB Moore, BSU I know OG is too early at #11 but I like the guy. Reyes in the second solidifies the DL and makes it easy to let Dorsey walk or be traded. Taylor will likely go in the second but we need quality depth at S and if he beats out Lewis, so be it. Jones in the fourth is a steal and we need some more wr's. OT Mosley would be the swing tackle. Baptiste and Powe could spell each other or Gregg if he's brought back on a one year deal. RB Brown is a head case but might surprise and QB Moore is a player who can't be any worse than Palko was. |
Can't be any worse than Palko? We don't need a ****ing 4th QB.

My draft.
1 - Luke Kuechly, LB, Boston College 2 - Alameda Ta'amu, NT, Washington (got your rotation set with Powe, Ta'amu & Gordon) 3 - Brock Osweiler, QB, Arizona State (Rolling the dice on pure tools) 4 - Philip Blake, C, Baylor (This lets Hudson replace Lilja) 5 - Terrance Ganaway, RB, Baylor (Your #2 power back. Could see him in a Michael Bush type role for a team) 6 - Tavon Wilson, S, Illinois (Safety depth) 7 - Andrew Datko, OT, Florida State (depth) 7 - Jeremy Jones, CB, Wayne State (depth) |

I have no idea where this "NFL-ready" garbage about Weeden is coming from. He needs at least a full season of exposure to NFL calls and schemes, and some practice taking snaps under center. It could be 2 or even 3 seasons before any hint of his true ability as an NFL QB can be seen. So no. Luck, RGIII, and Tannehill are the only QBs I really care about. And MAYBE Russell Wilson. But he shouldn't be given any kind of legitimate consideration for depth chart advancement at all this year. We'll need about that length of time to see if he can compensate for his short height in the NFL. |
1. Brockers
2. Ta'amu 3. Brandon Taylor 4. Ryan Broyles 5. Michael Brewster 6. Lucas Nix 7. Burfict |

There is a lot of second round value on the board in this mock.
|
1. David De Castro, Stanford Left Gaurd. Completes OL rebuild. Will help address poor short yardage and goal line run offense.
2. Alameda Ta'amu Prototype 2-gap Nose Tackle. Chiefs 26th vs run in 2011 and will need to press the pocket with 3 pro bowl pocket passer QBs in the division. 3. David Martin, Michigan Very Strong Inside LB, DLine in the 2-6-3 alignment, and short yardage/goal line fullback. Elite athlete in this draft class. Better verticle jump and short shuttle than highly regarded outside pass rushers Mercilus and McClellin. Very competitive; was state high school wrestling champ and shot put record holder in Michigan. Let him blitz the A gap and see if Manning feels comfortable with McGahee picking up a blitzing 306# ILB. Ta'amu and Martin should make should make a considerable difference in the Chiefs 26th ranked run D. 4. Asa Jackson, Cal Poly. Cornerback. Playing a lot of nickle and dime packages requires a lot of man cover corners. Jackson is stong enough to knock receivers of their routes, quick and fast enough to turn and run with receivers, and has punt returner ball skills. 5. Bruce Irvin, W. Virginia. Outside Linebacker. Along with Gabe Miller coming off IR, this should give the Chiefs pretty solid depth at the critical pass rush positions. 6. Brandon Hardin, Oregon St. Safety. More depth for nickel and dime packages. Hardin has the size and strength to play in the box along with the speed to roam deep. 7a. Jeff Adams, Columbia. Offensive Tackle. Like Datko, Adams is very athletic but doesn't have Datko's injury red flags. 7b. Dale Moss, South Dakota St. Wide Receiver. Worth a flyer given the history of former basketball players in the NFL. Priority free agents. Garth Gerhart, Arizona St., Center; Dan De Lilla, Albany, Quarterback. |
