Another Herm Edwards blunder.....
He is doing a breakdown on espn of his top 5 best team drafts so far through 3 rounds and he said......"Well, when you are picking high it's very difficult to draft good players, for the most part. Lot of pressure. But I'm gonna go with the Colts! WTF! His #4 TEAM
How in the world was it hard to screw up the Luck pick and get weapons around him and or pick guys to transform from a 4-3 to a 3-4? |
I'll credit Herm with our 08 draft.
He drafted well, real well. |

But the guys really responsible for the picks were Bill Kuharich, Chuck Cook, and the scouting staff. I would gladly have moved forward with Bill Kuharich as GM, with another head coach in place of Herman ****ing Edwards. |
i didn't care for the germs style of coaching, but i will give him credit. the man knew how to draft (mostly) quality players.

he'd be better suited as head of personal, or dictator of players or whatever. he'll always be a liar in my book. |
He owes his whole career to a recovered fumble.

I'm always embarrassed for Herm when I see him on ESPN, but I'm not sure why, because he seems to relish his role there as some sort of clownish, step-and-fetch-it, court jester-type. It's hard to determine which he likes more--the camera, or the sound of his own voice. I think it's a tie. If he'd have spent half as much time prepping his team as he did prepping himself to appear on camera in Hard Knocks, we might have been a little better than 4-12 that year. The crazy thing is, if he's actually stupid enough to wait around for another HC opportunity, there's probably some owner/GM combo out there that's stupid enough to give him one someday.

When Herm gets under pressure, he starts throwing coaches and players under the bus.

His greatest talent is inciting me to change the channel.
