Our Wes Welker!

4.39 in the 40-yard dash. Wow
|
We talked to him at the Shrine Bowl on 1/18
|
If he stays healthy, this could be a damn fun pick.
Rarely do I root for a white skill player thats not a qb. |
Dante Hall 2.0... Yeah Ik what I just said... Dante Hall.

YES !
We finally get our true Wes Welker slot and one more return guy that can break tackles !! |

He's our DMC. Wait.
|
ROFL at the missed tackle :45
|
DMC
Leave now. And never come back. |

This kid will be special in many ways. Count on it !! |
Love the pic. Some of the haters must be so blinded by Pioli hate that they will bash every pick. A 4th rounder with legitimate chance to be starting PR/KR and slot/4th WR. He'll be in the endzone a few times this fall. Excellent pick.
|
Best pick this draft.
|
remember when we spent a 36 overall pick to select Dexter McCluster
then went onto draft and sign guys that bury him on the depth chart even more and do the exact same skillset he does. I do. |
Pioli doesn't say much but he communicates a ton. This pick says "sorry...DMC was a mistake."
|
This was a really annoying highlight video, way to replay pretty average plays over and over. This kid looks exactly like the two returners that we already spent 2 second round picks on a couple years ago. A backup safety is a much bigger need at the moment, if I have to watch Slappy again this year I am going to be pissed.
|
too bad most kickers are booting into the endzone, these days and the KR/PR positions are less important than ever.

Good, now we have another slot receiver type that can be injured easily, sweet.
|
Kid has some serious shakes.
|
He looks really quick and can cut on a dime. That's valuable but makes you susceptible to injury.

second fastest WR at combine
excellent kick returner who can take over for failed mccluster abortion we needed speed, we got it |

It's a ****ing urban myth. It's not like he was out there making people miss. His "best game" was him running through gaping holes against the Broncos...and catching a 20-yard pass where literally NO ONE was within 10 yards of him. He made ONE play on a screen pass. |

DMC is the 3rd down back. That's it. At least he was willing to correct the issue. I know, I know..... Matt Cassel |
Guys, he's not just good for returning on special teams.
This guy is a beast on the coverage units. |
Kid is a serious gunner on ST's as well. Lots of possible production for a 4th rounder. Bye Terrance Copper.

Charles is the primary back on third downs. |
He is the great white hope, and will be a fan favorite early in his career.
|
isn't he the guy Parcells mentioned as a draft steal at the end of his "draft confidential?"
|
i just think when you have a 36 overall pick, you go for an every down player, especially when you have needs like we did at the time.
we could have had TJ Ward, Nate Allen, Rob Gronkowski, Lamarr Houston, Daryl Washington, etc. Instead we took at guy that will get beat out by this new 4th round pick and might not even make it out of training camp alive lol |

The final nail in DMC's coffin is the fact that he still can't hold on to the ball.
|
He's the worse version of Joe Adams.
|
Best pick of this draft, so far.

that was Cody Pearcy of Hunnington Nowhere University |
and the vikings just took Jarius Wright. FUuuuuuuu

sorry. all white people look the same to me. |

Charles will be on the field on third downs most of the time. You want your best players on the field on third down. Not guys who can't make people miss. |
Much better WR's on the board at this point than Wylie. He lacks production and has a history of injury. Projected 6-7th round.

4.25 40 in 2009 before he injured his foot.

I like this guy.
Natural speed and return ability. Arenas had nice return ability, but not the natural speed that this guy has. |
I haven't heard any of the talking heads say Wylie's a reach or a bad pick. Most seem to like it.
|
Velvet Revolver. Slither.

He's a developmental WR. He helps us instantly on special teams, both in the return game and covering kicks. |
HE'S WHITE!!!!

The highest rated WR on the board at the time according to two "experts". Anything to get rid of Jeremy Horne. If I never see him suit up again it will be a great life.
|
Now if we can not use ACME quarterback Wylie maybe able to catch the roadrunner.

He didn't carry the ball more than 225 times at full health, and he's not gonna do it with a newly repaired ACL. |
DMC is not gonna get 25 percent of anything with Charles and Hillis both healthy
there is not enough footballs in the entire state of Missouri for all 3 to touch it. And this place will riot if that shitty McCluster is coming in on 1st and 2nd downs getting awful delay draw handoffs while Charles or Hills stand healthy on the sideline. No excuse of that garbage when these guys wont be hurt |
Stanzi to Wylie "The All American Connection"
|
Based on the highlight video it will be interesting to see DMC and this dude spinning to make tacklers "miss" on every play.

Good ability if he stays healthy...like Moeaki. |

Baldwin and Breaston could be our two starters on the outside, and Wylie could become our slot receiver. |

He's not. I expect McCluster to touch it about 3 times a game. That's what RB3 do. |
Not a name that was on my radar, but after reading up on him, a guy with some speed is not a bad thing when the rest of the guys on the roster are named Copper, Horne, Markshausen and Newsome. He sounds like he'll have immediate impact on special teams, and provide something a bit different from Bowe, Baldwin or Breaston in the rare multiple receiver set. The injuries are a concern but it sounds like he's surprisingly polished across the board as a receiver (scary fast, decent hands, good route runner).
Sounds to me like a guy who would have gone two rounds earlier without the injury question. |
good pick but how can the Chiefs use all these skill players on offense with our starting QB?

He gets a broken foot and now he is injury prone. Damn.

Either way, the reality is that Bowe/Breaston/Baldwin/Wylie/Charles/Hillis/McCluster will not all be healthy for all 16 games this season.

It's like tattooing dumbass on your forehead and then trying to convince someone, who laughs when they see it, that you really aren't a dumbass. |
So by my count this is the 3rd Wes Welker Pioli has drafted since coming here. Now all we need is a few Tom Bradys.
