The tide just rolled in on the jersey shore.

Pioli picked him so he must suck /cp

Kent Babb @kentbabb
http://NFL.com says this: "Menzie has some hitches in his athletic ability that will make for a tough transition to the NFL." |

FTR, Menzie played Javier Arenas' position after Arenas departed for the NFL.
|
this has been one helluva draft.

I'm a huge Bama fan so I know this team. Menzies is very solid not as flashy as Kirkpatrick but filled in a lot when Kirkpatrick was hurt a steal in the fifth we have a good cb to develop and compete with brown next year.
|
i can dig it

That hitch creates a split second that allows for separation. I was never a fan of Menzie. |

Lewis Menzie Washington **** Pissi. |
He's not very fast, but he's still gotta be better than piscatelli.

If Pioli's biggest ballwasher hates this pick, I'll just add another quarter to my "Pioli sucks" jar. |

bye-bye sabby. |

Could it be that this is why they feel he projects to safety in the NFL and not corner? |

Lawrence Tynes and De'Quan Menzie will soon battle to the death.
There can be only one. |

That is exactly what I was thinking! :toast: |
Kendrick Lewis says hi.
|
I would have to say if they're converting him to safety he is probably the best solution as there is not much left for players who played safety in college. I worry about the size for safety. He's under 200 at 5'10.

Menzi **** yeah... This draft is NOT complete shit anymore.
|
Hey it's the first pick I think we got a hidden gem finally

Mayock likes him.....
|
Mayock just called Menzie one of his favorite players in this draft.
|
Mayock called him one of his favorite players in this year's draft.
|
Mayock just said he's a football player he will compete at cb or safety it doesn't matter great special teams. He will compete for a starting position that's the type of kid he is.
|
Mayock actually said "he will compete for a starting job, trust me. That's the type of competitiveness this kid has".
Will play all special teams. Mayock doesn't care if you leave him at CB or kick him inside to Saftey where he likes him. |
Hmmm...
I get the impression that Mayock may like this pick. :hmmm: |
Mayock: "It doesn't matter if you play him at Safety, or at Corner--I like him at Safety--a football player is a football player. He will complete for a starting spot from day one, that's just the kind of guy he is."
Wow. Pretty high praise by Mayock. |

Mayock said he could be Q!
|
This draft hasn't exactly been sexy, but we have seriously improved our depth, which was our one glaring need. You can't have a probowler get replaced by literally the worst player on your team (see Berry/Piscateli).
Someone else pointed this out...it's the right 53, not the right 22. |

He's definitely small for a safety. |

I think the league is moving away from 220 lb safeties. |
Goodbye to the Sabster:toast:!!

Another solid depth signing, no reaching.
He can play special teams right away & of course more importantly, send sabby back to snookieland. |
