Josh Looney @JoshLooney
Franchised #Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe has signed his franchise tender. #ChiefsCamp KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Kansas City Chiefs announced on Friday that WR Dwayne Bowe has signed his franchise tender. Bowe has played in 75 career games (70 starts) for the Chiefs with 356 catches for 4,927 yards and 36 touchdowns during his five-year career. He has led the Chiefs in receptions and receiving yards in each of the past three seasons. In his last two seasons, Bowe has caught 153 passes for 2,321 yards and 20 TDs. In 2011, he notched 81 receptions for 1,159 yards and five TDs. During the 2010 season, he recorded 72 catches for a career-best 1,162 yards and a franchise-record 15 TDs, a mark that led the NFL and included a stretch of seven consecutive games with a TD reception to set a team record. He earned second-team All-Pro honors and was selected to the Pro Bowl following his 2010 campaign. His 356 receptions rank seventh in team history and his 4,927 receiving yards rank eighth in club annals. With 36 touchdown catches, he ranks fifth in Chiefs history while his 73 catches of 20-plus yards are third-most in franchise record books. The Miami, Fla., native originally entered the NFL as Kansas City’s first-round selection (23rd overall) in the 2007 NFL Draft. He was a first-team All-SEC selection at LSU, where he caught 154 passes for 2,403 yards and a school-record 26 TDs. |
He would like to sincerely apologize to The Clarks for the delay.

wooo hooo
|
Those of us who thought rationally knew he would sign as soon as he could sleep in his own bed.
|
Just in time for The Fray concert.
|
Fire up the printers.
Woot. |
It's time to rape.

Nice. He now has 3 weeks to get into football shape and acclimated to the playbook.
|
He signed it, but did he flex after he did it?
If he did flex, did Pioli rip up the contract in front of his face after he did it? |
Just in time to be traded!!!!
|
Now get him traded, Scott! /BlackBob

I thought you had to sit out three days once you report? So the Rams game is out. He'll probably play against Seattle, and a little at Green Bay. He probably doesn't need a ton of reps, but he does need to learn the playbook with a new OC in town.

Now for the daily meltdowns for 3 weeks when the practice reports state Bowe is running with the 2nd and 3rd team while earning his starting job back. LMAO
|
Who would have thought a veteran player didn't like practicing in 100 degree heat and sleeping in twin size dorm beds?

Adam Teicher @adamteicher
Bowe won't play tomorrow and can't practice for three days after joining #Chiefs, so don't look for him to play Aug. 24 vs Seattle |

It's nice of Bowe to show up a week or two earlier than he had much reason to.
This doesn't change anything re: Bowe and Pioli, the Chiefs don't seem to feel like Bowe is in their long term plans. I think franchising Albert will be the fig leaf as to why Bowe will walk this offseason. |

Scott: DEAL! |
I didn't think he'd sign for another week so awsome.
I don't see why he couldn't play in the Seattle game. Depending on when the acclimation period begans he should be able to practice by tuesday and maybe monday if the acclimation period starts at this afternoons practice. |
Okay, so NOW, can we rape faces?

or if he was really pissed he would of came back the day before the 1st game of the season(can't play because of 3 day rule) and then 'tweaked' his hamstring on the 1st day of practice ... never to be seen again in a Chiefs Uni. |
But, today is NOT Wednesday!!!
|
Bowe made it a little too obvious that he was trying to skip out of training camp, he should have waited til Monday
|
Called it!
|
Now we just need to sign his importer, Art Van Delay

Charles
Hillis Gray Draughn Bowe Baldwin Breaston McCluster Wylie Copper Moeaki Boss Maneri There are many options and pkgs we could go with, with as many weapons we're going to have. This is the best, deepest, most balanced team we've had dating back to Marty (at least on paper). Plus.... Bengals just waived former Univ. of Texas WR Jordan Shipley. Think he'd be a better WR option than Wylie or McCluster? I think the Chiefs are going to sign a couple more players once cuts come, esp in the secondary with the injuries we have there. |
