Best RB Tandem in NFL?

Just now on the NFL Network Brian Baldinger stated that Charles
and Hillis are the best duo in the NFL by far. Nice to hear.

What about McGahee and Slowshon??

Quesadilla Joe 08-17-2012 05:35 PM

Deangelo and Stewart are better. Charles and Hillis are good though.

Jackie Battle was a monster in Madden 2012 on the field just ok. At least give him some credit for picking up some slack when Charles was out last year.

Yeah.... No.

Deberg_1990 08-17-2012 05:48 PM

I prefer the Arian Foster/Ben Tate combo.

our running game is gonna bail Cassel out a lot. Especially with much improved o-line play and especially the upgrade we got with Winston. It's gonna be SICK!!!

Hopefully Hillis returns to form this season.. I'd like to see him and Charles in the backfield for a few years together. Lets hope it is and remains the best!

Im actually more skpetical of Charles returning to form than Hillis.

What are the stats from RBs returning after an ACL injury?

It's actually quite random.

There was a chart and I believe it was like 2 seasons before their production would get back to normal. But that was several years ago and I think these injuries are handled better now. Plus a lot of those backs (in the chart) were workhorse ones and I think teams took it easier on them so as not to ruin them as that was the time of feature backs. Charles likely didn't have nearly the carries those guys did in the first place so a "light" season could be pretty similar to how he was used before.

Then take into account the lengthy recuperation time he's had and there's a lot more optimism that Charles should be as good as before.

Knee ligament injuries are getting to where I think we might see players not dropoff and maybe even improve after surgery, similar to Tommy John (which isn't necessarily due to the surgery). But we'll just have to see.

I'm hopeful they'll both look like their 2010 selves, which combined with a solid team around them makes for a great situation. If either one or both is as good or dare I say better than before then we could see some pretty special play.

Shon Greene and Tim Tebow. Absolute best RB tandem in the league. Count it.

Demonpenz 08-17-2012 08:38 PM

Hillis had his jersey pulled up under his shoulder pads in st joe and it looked like he had a 40 inch waist with a six pack. He is a monster.

clyde05 08-17-2012 09:04 PM

Foster and Tate are right up there with Williams and Stewart and Charles and hillis

jd1020 08-17-2012 09:08 PM

Greene/Tebow!

Excellent, this will take the pressure off of Charles to carry the load early in the season and only helps the Chiefs.I think Hillis has a chip on his shoulder so look out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thunder and lightning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
