Ouch.

ShowtimeSBMVP 08-23-2012 07:00 PM

This is why NFL Players hold out 1 play and it's over.

Nzoner 08-23-2012 07:03 PM

I watched the play live and at first no one thought anything of it as players were walking away and the poor bastard was writhing in pain on the ground.

I thought he was having a seizure.

That's how much pain he was in.

BigMeatballDave 08-23-2012 07:04 PM

Eh, he was gonna be a flop anyway...

Dayze 08-23-2012 07:06 PM

Rub some dirt on it.

That wasn't too bad, really. Was it compound?

lewdog 08-23-2012 07:13 PM

Having known him a bit through college, I would say he is a truly genuine person who worked harder than anyone to get where he is. Just a sad day to see a guy from a small school who had been doing well in this league, just have ended his career there.

ROFL I see what you did there.

In58men 08-23-2012 07:58 PM

That sucks.

Dr. Johnny Fever 08-23-2012 08:07 PM

Steve Deberg would have thrown some duct tape around it to hold it in place and finished the game.

Imagine life if you're a caveman and that happens when you're hunting a mammoth. Having a modern health care system is a really good thing.

KcMizzou 08-23-2012 08:13 PM

The announcer was like "Looks like something with his ankle, we'll find out more later."

I was thinking, "I'm pretty sure I can diagnose that injury from this recliner."

DaFace 08-23-2012 08:13 PM

Walk it off, pussy.

I can't imagine one good thing about being a caveman, other than being to rape with impunity and not having to pay taxes.

Singling out bone fractures is unfair.

There are certainly some advantages, but you're right. In the whole, modern life is better than caveman life.

Caveman advantages:

No taxes, as you noted
Rape with impunity, as you noted
Lots of time outdoors
Probably pretty much your own boss
I bet the scenery and environment was quite nice
Food is always fresh

Caveman disadvantages:

Broken bones mean a life of extreme pain
Life expectancy under 40
Sometimes you get dinner, sometimes you are dinner
Women don't shave anywhere
No fingernail clippers
No desserts, ever
Ice age weather without ice age clothing
Limited opportunities for leisure travel
Probably more that I'm not thinking of.

Tooth decay.

Hammock Parties 08-23-2012 08:21 PM

I bet there were cavemen who lived in icy environments that figured out a way to preserve their meat.

Cavemen had very good teeth because they didn't eat sugar or grains.

Simplicity 08-23-2012 08:24 PM

Seems painful.

Chuck Norris just gave out a giant Paul Bunyan laugh at that video, then chugged 3 gallons of beer.

Good guy that comes back to Havre Mt and spends quality time with kids and never turns down an autograph request. Best of luck to him.

Just a class act all-around. Super nice dude.

Career is over in the NFL, however. He was always borderline to make the team anyway.

SAUTO 08-23-2012 10:25 PM

not the worst i have seen, not even close.

but would suck for it to happen to you

I remember last year he was to have a 2 hour autograph session in Havre. He ended up staying double the time to get everything signed...and never stopped smiling and chatting with everyone.

Btw...GO CATS! :D
