I've always liked him pretty well. I also like Barry Manilow, John Denver, Glen Campbell, The Bee Gees, a slabba Abba from time to time, Gilbert O'Sullivan, Englebert Humperdink, some Tom Jones and plenty of other "dorky" singers and listen to them all on purpose now and then.

My personal mantra regarding the subject is that there is good music everywhere, in every genre, every style and every time. Yes, there's plenty of bad too but music of any kind can be enjoyed if you don't shut yourself off from it just because of what kind of music it is.

The only style I can think of where I don't find much worth a crap is modern rap but there are a few good ones and I won't pretend there is no talent there just because I might not like it.

Yeah I know what you mean. Many of my friends are under 30 as well and most of them quite stupid about anything and anyone who hasn't been on the charts during their formative years. Luckily I have a few young friends who get that there was great music before that and are all in.

Billy Joel was and is a ****ing stud. From "Scenes From An Italian Restaurant," to "Pressure," to "Allentown," to "Goodnight Saigon," to "Downeaster (Alexa)," to "We Didn't Start The Fire" he could do all the various styles over a loooooong period of time and do them all brilliantly. He's one guy I still dream of seeing live.

I had to sit through a Bolton/Kenny G concert with an old girlfriend once. The Highlight of the concert was Kenny G's percussionist. He used to be in Santana and he was ****ing awesome and stole the show.
