If I had to take one player off our starting defense, it would be Belcher. He is OK, but nothing special.

The Franchise 09-06-2012 09:57 AM

Siler gets his chance to show why he's the best tackler on the team now.

Sofa King 09-06-2012 09:57 AM

Siler's the better tackler anyways.

Chiefnj2 09-06-2012 09:57 AM

Maybe DJ will get the chance to learn a thing or two from Siler.

Rausch 09-06-2012 09:57 AM

I do like what I see in Siler.

Despite the reeruned pimping of him by teh n00b I think he'll end up better depth.

I has no faith in Belcher...

Mr. Laz 09-06-2012 09:57 AM

can Siler stay healthy for an entire game?

Sofa King 09-06-2012 09:58 AM

He'll be fine. And if not, I don't think there would much dropoff from him to Siler. Belcher is nothing special.

PREPARE TO ROLL OUT THE SILER GIFS

KCrockaholic 09-06-2012 10:04 AM

Luckily Belcher is the most replaceable guy on the defense IMO. A close 2nd is Lewis. But Brandon Siler should do fine. He's better in coverage anyways.

LOL, Belcher would be a pretty big loss. He wears the speaker in his helmet. He calls the plays on defense. He's the guy Romeo talks to. Belcher makes the reads. Siler is a good back up but that's it. Even Romeo said there was never a competition between the two.

On that note, Belcher will play. He never misses time like the other pussies.

I see no way the "talent" wins this game.

We might coach, gameplan, and overall play better chess but we can't just line up and expect to win.

Romeo knows he's got an elephant sized hole in the secondary and his plan will be gen(i)ous or fall flat on its face...

If we had Hali.....RAC could just blitz the **** out of Ryan in the beginning and hopefully break his confidence. Houston can still do that.....but Studebaker is about to get abused.

Belcher is average...nothing more. Whether he plays or doesn't play, I don't see a huge difference. Some of you build average into "indispensable".

Belcher knows what he is and what he isn't. I don't think he's going to miss any time if he can help it.

So let's get this straight... I told you people that I would leave for a year if DJ didn't miss one tackle in his first game this season. If he missed a tackle, then the taker had to leave the board for a year.

Siler has nothing to do with this. This bet is about you ****tards knowing that DJ is not a great tackler. By not taking the bet, you are saying you agree.

I almost think of this as evidence that blackbob is a wendler mult. Only clayton would pick a girl, let alone luv.

Picking luv means the missed tackle would have to be obvious.

Nope there isn't. All I am saying is that every Chiefs fan knows in his heart that DJ is known for missing tackles. There are alot of people here who don't want to admit it for some reason. I have proven Siler is a better tackle and said over and over that DJ is a better player and LBer. Over the course of Siler's career he misses less tackles per attempt. It's the truth. The DJ homerism is off the charts!

Pretty much any ILB who is around the ball as much as DJ will miss a tackle or two in a game. Getting 14 tackles and missing one isn't a huge deal. It happens.

He's not a great tackler though. That would indicate his tackling ability is special. It's not. Other things make him special. Patrick Willis is an example of what I'd say is a great tackler.

I want a bigger sample size of Eric Berry, but I love the way he tackles.

No. Because he wouldn't get to the ball carrier as often. DJ's pursuit is what makes him special... and raw athleticism.

Getting there is a big part of tackling. It doesn't count as a miss if you're not there to do anything.

1st play on defense - Siler misses a tackle that allows a big run
2nd play on defense - Routt gets a pass interference penalty
3rd play on defense - Berry pulls a groin
4th play on defense - Gonzo makes a spectacular diving touchdown catch

1st play on offense - Bowe drops a pass
2nd play on offense - Hillis fumbles the ball that leads to another Atlanta TD
3rd play on offense - Daboll calls a run play for DMC up the middle for a 2 yard loss
4th play on offense - Cassel throws a pick 6
