Game 6

To whoever it was that called it.... that Cassel will be out by Game 6....

Wow.

That was a while back when I first read that here. Stand up and get your rep, sir. Fantastic call.

I've come to the conclusion that there is no such thing in life. Every thing happens for a reason.

Molitoth 10-09-2012 07:15 PM

I called that cassel would leave the ravens game with a mysterious injury, but that was a week or two ago and I suppose the injury wasnt so mysterious.. I'd have to search and find it.

Chiefspants 10-09-2012 07:16 PM

To go along with BossChief's prediction, I suppose it's time for Stanzi then?

/1-15 if so!

The real question is who predicted that it would be OUR fault?

Death2CasselFans 10-09-2012 07:38 PM

I predicted Cassel would be starter up until we locked up #1 pick.

Sort of like how teams lock up playoff spots and rest their starters in week 15, 16.

It's not coincidence.

I said over and over that this would follow the same type of timeline as Drew Bledsoe in Dallas...just use the search function with my username and 'Bledsoe' and you will see plenty of examples of proof. The week before the bye week was what I said back then and used "game 6" because that was the week that Parcells sat Bledsoe on the bench and before that point all he said over and over was that Drew was his quarterback and that Romo wouldnt play.

Sound familiar?

The Parcells/Patriot way is just too predictable.

I called it last training camp.

-takes a bow-

Hammock Parties 10-09-2012 08:37 PM

The only reason Cassel isn't starting in Tampa is because he got hurt.

He was not going to be benched.

It's pure coincidence.

It sucks that Stanzi had such a poor showing during preseason, otherwise I would be a lot prouder of this called shot.

You keep believing that.

Go back and watch Cassel and Quinn both get phone calls prior to the "injury".

Hammock Parties 10-09-2012 08:53 PM

Quinn never received a phone call. I just checked.

BossChief 10-09-2012 08:57 PM

A few people said he did...honestly, I wasn't positive about that part.

Are you saying he was told to play hurt?

You were saying he would get benched due to play. Thats not the situation. I didn't disagree with your guess, but if he didn't get hurt I doubt Quinn would be starting.

Hammock Parties 10-09-2012 09:00 PM

Cassel would be starting if he was healthy, and I'm guessing we see why in Tampa.

And I'm guessing we see Cassel again vs Oakland.

BossChief 10-09-2012 09:02 PM

Id also like to mention that Romeo said in his presser that Stanzi needs to be ready to play.

You don't know that. Suppose he doesn't get injured and the Winston is given the opportunity to make the fans look like a bunch of assholes on a national level. Then you have the story of the banner still riding strong and, perhaps in even more national spots than had already taken place.

There is no telling what happens in that scenario....

Im a Chiefs fan before I am a Stanzi fan, but I would obviously love to see the kid have a chance with the starters in a real game because I still think he will play better than the other two QBs we have.

Plus, I just dont want him to be another Studebaker type miss of mine.

Im telling you guys that this team is gonna rally around someone this year and if Quinn ****s up his shot, its gonna be RS.

He said Stanzi would take over at game 6. That is where the game 6 thing started.

Of course he must be ready to play. He's been inactive while Cassel has started. If Quinn goes down Stanzi will have to play. The life of a backup.

BlackHelicopters 10-10-2012 06:05 AM

Some would say Cassell has had a concussion since he joined the squad. Would explain many things.

Stanzi, needs to play, to see what we have. He needs multiple games as a starter. If he stinks the place up, then, at least we know how many QB's we need to try and obtain next year, by draft, free agent, or whatever. We know Quinns past history doesnt add up to being a QB that can take this team to the level we want to go.

AussieChiefsFan 10-10-2012 06:14 AM

It's a real shame Stanzi got no playing time at all last year instead of damn Palko

What difference does it make. We learned that he sucks this year.

I think it'd be better to have more more game experience from Stanzi to work from. Especially reg season which he hasn't had much of if any.

that wouldn't have changed how bad Stanzi sucks

I am anxious to see how bad Stanzi sucks with live ammo flying.

Except that it happened in Game 5, not Game 6.

And he was injured, not benched.

And they went with Quinn, not Stanzi.

Look, you're a smart guy and a quality football poster.

But you didn't get anything "right" here.

I was thinking about this too, good job man.

Also, for the Terrance Copper nut licker on here, I was thinking about you too during the game when he showed up multiple times. Good on you too, SNR.

I think Cassel gets mysteriously injured during the Ravens game and Quinn comes in.
Found it, although it was only earlier last week. Just a feeling I had... there was far too much pressure on him last week.

All we learned when Stanzi played in preseason is that nobody can throw the ball accurately (or at all) when they have opponents draped all over them before then can complete their dropback and set their feet.

Phobia 10-10-2012 10:45 AM

I'm all for conspiracy theories but I don't think there's an athlete alive who would willingly take a dive and effectively end their career when their salaries are guaranteed anyway. What's in it for Cassel? Dude has $60,000,000. Why would he agree to do that?

He gets to avoid the embarrassment of being yanked.

Okay - but when he recovers and doesn't take his starting job back or he's cut in the offseason. Similar embarrassment. There's just nothing in it for him - even if they paid him $5,000,000 to take a dive, that's peanuts compared to what he'd earn as a backup for the next 5 years and in retirement by adding another 5 years of NFL time to his pension.
