Bowe would probably want to stay for the long term if we had traded up for Tannehill.

No team is gonna trade for Bowe without a LTD in place and Bowe would have to be willing to negotiate that deal with a team he wants to go to.

Which means Cassel IS a problem and that Bowe wants to go somewhere that has a legit QB and that he sees Tannehill as exactly that.

Chunt needs to have a meeting with DBowe and apologize to him for screwing him over with Scott Pioli and Matt Cassel, then convince him to stay because he's fixing that problem.

Probably this.

Pioli won't be able to get a deal done with him and probably can't get a deal done with Albert. We'll need the tag for Albert so Bowe is gone.

If we can get a 2nd for Bowe, we probably need to do it. He's worth a 1st, but everyone knows the situation with him (i.e. he's gone).

It's probably a good idea but it's just more proof of how completely goddamn worthless Scott Pioli has been. Because he's been unable to create a working relationship with one of the most talented players on his team (a guy he inherited) and because he's unable to get one of the few plus players at a cornerstone position on his team re-signed (another guy he inherited) he has to choose between one or the other.

Albert's the more critical need, especially since Pioli's also proven incapable of getting a decent QB in here.

We already need a GM, HC, QB, and WR. We need more speed on the outside; Bowe has been franchised twice. Makes sense. Considering his production, we should be able to get a good pick or two for him. Now is the right time to pull the trigger.

I want a 2nd and at least a 4th for Bowe. If Marshall is worth 2 2nds or 2 3rds, Bowe is certainly worth that.

But back up a step or two. Why is it that Bowe wants out so badly? That, my friend, is the question.

When you're bound to lose, you want to cut your losses. That's understandable. So, you get what you can for Bowe. Great. Makes sense.

We should be focused, however, on building a team of good, great, and better players ... not how we can maximize the return on failure.
