Heh. I think I've edited 4 of his polls the past few days.

I just want to say that I hate, hate, hate the bottom two options. Both seem like an ultimatum to me and I think of all the things we've done, these could actually create division in the fanbase.

to this point, you either down with the movement or not with the local media blitz( which Marty,pr_, and yourself have done an excellent job) then the national coverage of the blackout it's "shit or get off the pot" time. You can't pull any punches when the future is this bleak.

I have yet to chime in on this great cause.... but I must say I totally agree with Sir Phil

The second one comes across as a threat(a weak one at that) instead of a plea for change from the front office.

I honestly think a banner in a form of an appeal directly to Clark for at least some kind of fan acknowledgement/empathy, is what would be most effective.

It puts the ball in his court, and forces his hand.

If he chooses not to respond, let him know were still waiting/expecting a response in the next banner. The media will call him out if he continues to stay silent.

Another thing we could do is test sample the slogan from an unbiased source from another fanbase and see what they think like going to another team's message board with permission from their Admins and Mods.

As it was last week, I completely agree. Anything giving off a slight hint of an ego by SOC is not the right move. Doesn't matter what the intent was.

I'm with Phobia on this. Though I agree that Fire Pioli should be on every sign, I don't like calling out the hunt family or making ultimatums. This is about making statements. They already know the blackout will end if they fire pioli.

"Eliminate Bad Management" accomplishes the goals of the latter two options in a much smoother & clever way. We would be hijacking a message created by the Chiefs incompetent staff and using it as a banner to trumpet the goals of our cause.

Honestly, nothing else could send such a blistering and embarrassing message to Pioli and company.

To me management means the front office, not the head coach. Either way, as you said, I will be pretty disappointed if "End the Blackout" goes on the banner.

That dictates humor and intelligence to get sarcasm, we are broadcasting this to individuals who'll take everything literally or act like a lobotomized goat if there isn't specifics.

If SOC truly wants to be respectable in their actions while still getting a strong point across the only one of these three that works is the first one. The "OR ELSE" style banners sounds exactly like what all those naysayers were saying we were, spoiled babies not getting their way.

1. I think the first one is clever, but it might be too clever for the majority of people to get. Most will understand it as a vague reference to either getting rid of the coach or of the GM, but most won't understand how clever it is.

2. The second one repeats the main demand which I very much prefer over the cleverness of the first one.

3. I prefer the "Restore the Red" over "End the Blackout" because it's more positive.

Points 2 and 3 are in conflict, but sticking with "Fire Pioli" wins so I voted for FIRE PIOLI & END THE BLACKOUT.

The problem with #2 is that it sounds more like an ultimatum. Billionaires do not respond well to ultimatums. They prefer entreaties.

IMO, everyone knows the blackout ends when Pioli is gone. The cause and effect are obvious. Rather, we need to, instead, just make it plain that we want Pioli and the Patriot Way gone.

We could go back and forth forever on this. I picked the first one just because it's sounds less like an ultimatum. I'm not the biggest fan of that option either, but it's the best of the three.

I just feel like the back end of the message should be in repercussion form as to infer that for action (or non-action in this case) there will be reaction. Yeah sounds like your basic threat formula like do + this = or else. But I think Clark needs to know that there are ramifications if he doesn't pull the trigger here. This is no longer a single fan or handful of fans sending him letters or fans trying to get their frustration or message out on sportstalk radio, this is a movement baby! Oh yea, I read the OP and I'm hoping that it stays below 60%. It was at like 58, now it's around 48. I am also hoping that you pick the other one. I know I know, I want a lot, but I'm going for gold.

If they don't have someone paying attention to SOC either here or on the Facebook page or both, they probably aren't taking it seriously enough for the message to matter. I think the purpose of the banner should be to expand the number of fans in support of SOC rather than as a vehicle to speak to Clark Hunt. That's the reason I think a more positive spin is better than a threat/ultimatum spin.

As a quick note, I like the carrot being put out in #2 and voted for it, but does that limit future options? What if Clark fires Pioli and then hires some incredible loser like Matt Millen? Would it be violating your promise to begin blacking out a Millen regime after its third 1-15 season?
